    Why is trading so difficult?

Agree you wouldn't want to trade 100 shares actively, but otherwise there's nothing wrong with slipping in a 100 shares of this and that.

(: This 2020 US President Candidate wants to give everyone $1,000 / month :)

Sure, I'll give you one, but I could give you many. Reforming the deduction for state and local taxes so that more rural states aren't subsidizing blue states that have higher personal property taxes, etc. Admittedly those taxes in places like California, New Jersey, etc, typically go to...

(: This 2020 US President Candidate wants to give everyone $1,000 / month :)

No, I'm of the belief that when someone is voting against you they're probably doing it for reasons that benefit them. I think that of Democrats, I believe they are voting for things that will benefit them. It's Democrats who make remarks about Appalachians not knowing what is best for them...

(: This 2020 US President Candidate wants to give everyone $1,000 / month :)

What policy ? All I've seen you doing is pushing an agenda, not a policy. Short of taking everyone in Appalachia and busing them to the city, I don't see what you are proposing that is going to help a single person in Appalachia. You've noticed, I assume, that they're voting against you...

(: This 2020 US President Candidate wants to give everyone $1,000 / month :)

I hate the left's glorification of the poor as if all poor people are martyrs working 12-18 hour days just to put food on the table for their kids, that they lead more authentic lives because of the trials they've faced, and etc. Truth is, most of the actual poor, the desperately poor, live in...

Why is IQ'S Nasdaq Level 2 Openview so expensive ?

It's something brokers charge like 15$us for non-pro, 60$us pro. Even Nasdaq itself only charges 15$us for non-pro, 76$us pro. So why would IQ be charging 60$us non-pro, 375$us pro for the exact same data ?

Inside the World’s Most Elite (and Secret) Traders’ Club

I don't understand this article, because from what I read an ISDA agreement is just that, an agreement, a contract, so anyone can "have one" by just writing one. You wouldn't have to go to anyone to become certified, or be invited into some kind of a group, you just write the contract and then...

Are stop-limit orders made on IB TWS visible to everyone else?

I really meant "market" in the sense of it being an exchange order, not an order type, but you're right that was confusing so thanks for the fix.

    Level 2 trader studies

Totally just my opinion, but I think the best method is to learn directly from the data. Since that involves simulations, real time and possibly historical data, trading platforms, order execution, clearing, settlement, automation and programming, math, stat, money management, etc ... I'd learn...

    IB good customer service

Really, you all could just go read their website. :D Customer securities accounts at Interactive Brokers are protected up to $30 million (including up to $1 million for cash). The market value of your stocks, options, warrants, debt, and cash -- denominated in all currencies -- is covered by...

    IB good customer service

I think some brokers try to account for it. IB, for example, on their website they say that they distribute your account cash out to different banks so that you don't hit the FDIC limit on any one bank. That does require you to interact with them and black list banks that you already have...

Are stop-limit orders made on IB TWS visible to everyone else?

I found what you are looking for on IB's website. Here is a list of exchanges from IB. https://www.interactivebrokers.com/en/?f=exchanges Example, clicking on "NYSE" takes you to a page that tells you the native order types for the NYSE including hidden, iceberg, limit, limit on close, limit...

Are stop-limit orders made on IB TWS visible to everyone else?

For the super paranoid I think you can even route an order to a dark pool using Interactive Brokers, IEX, then, if I understand it correctly, nobody will even see your bid/ask, or since a quote isn't created they won't even know the trade happened. It's basically like it never even happened as...

Are stop-limit orders made on IB TWS visible to everyone else?

I don't see how that's possible because the stop isn't an order. The only thing exchanges see are bid and ask prices ... what would a stop show up as in a level 2 quote ? It's not a bid, and it isn't an ask, and those are the only two options you have. You might imagine that market orders...

Are stop-limit orders made on IB TWS visible to everyone else?

I think broker's call these "server orders" because they only exist on the broker's servers until the stop price is hit, then it becomes a market order. From Interactive Broker's website ... Stop-Limit order is an instruction to submit a buy or sell limit order when the user-specified stop...

after a number of trades from the same strategy, why my winners win? why my losers lose?

I'm not sure that's really true. The longer the time frame, the more it becomes about historical data and probabilities, but in the very short term, milliseconds to seconds, probability doesn't have much to do with it, it becomes more about implementation, latency, and efficiency.
