Not agreeing or disagreeing, but just wondering how you got that stat? I've recently been backtesting how a gaps up/down along with the context (previous 2-3 days action) effects the days direction. I found some cool stuff... I'm sure nothing a seasoned trader doesn't instinctively know, but...

Why you never hear US news that the market rallied or plunged on political concerns?

I think rarely there is actually a macro-event that moves price. Most of it is just speculators running it from level to level trying to take each others money and just market mechanics at work. I laugh when the talking heads say "the market reversed this afternoon on concerns about _____"...

10-min pretty much closed so its looking good. Stop lowered to 1816.00. Really nice target at 1902 with a chicken-out target of 1906.50. Stop lowered to 1813.75.... target 1901-1903 Stop now at 1910 Covered 1906.00 because I don't like the bullish div showing up on ES.

Short NQ 1816.25 Stop 1818.25... target 10-15 points Got a nice bounce off the 78.6%... now this 10-min div just needs to close and its gold

Nice call. Mental note taken.... price doesn't necessarily have to spike through the low-tick to mark a turning point.

Yeah. Usually you see this on a bar with a new low-tick indicating stop-outs... interesting that it happened when price was flat. I'm sitting on my hands seeing how it plays out... learning experience :)

Possible wedge long opportunity at 1373.75-1374.50 ES for any bulls out there .... nixed

Vertigo - For what its worth, I see us as in the middle of a major C-wave. Within that C-wave there is some more structure going on. There is the possibility of us being in the 5th wave right now, depending on how its interpreted. Either way, its a leading to a top. I'm plotting my zones...

If we break through to new highs in ES over the next couple days like I suspect we will (NQ already is) I'm ready to take some long-term shorts. There is some heavy heavy resistance from 1405 up to 1430. There isn't one small zone that stands out the most since its all spread out though. I...

Well it doesn't have to be all-or-none. Its just that not many people want to read multiple trades that have targets of <2 points. I'm sure nobody would be opposed to you posting larger target trades. Some commentary to go along with trades every once in a while is also appreciated.

There should be a "scalping" journal for these 2-6 tick trades. :edit: opt, we're on the same page :p :edit: stopped out for -1.25 .... I'd take the trade again if given the chance, that was a nice setup.

Long 1382 stop 80.75 :volume doesn't seem to be coming in as much as I'd expect.... nice 1-min div going on though, the trade has hope

Support zone on ES coming up at 1381-1383... if they're going to run this to test the highs (and possibly break them) it could def happen from here.

I've been really busy and haven't been able to trade the past few days but I had to check the charts. I plotted out a good resistance zone in NQ on the RTH chart and got excited about shorting it tomorrow. Then I took a look at AH chart and I see that price already spiked off the zone much...

Long limit order on NQ sitting at ~1798 with bracket exits at ~1793 and ~1819... hoping they spike it down in AH for a nice entry before the potential AM mini-rally.
