You must be a stock trader and trade futures/forward contracts then :) But what about the timeframes in between 1 min and Daily  ???

Please share your favourite time frames

I used to use 5 minute one just because some of top level traders on ET in old days like back in 2009 used to use 5 minute timeframes as examples. But then when I actually started my real trading I started to feel its a bit slow compared to 1 minute, and too often I suffered spikes on 5 minute...

Please share your favourite time frames

I personally focus on daily, 1 Hour, 15 minute and 1 minute. Daily to anticipate the daily future price movement. 1 minute for entry. 15 minute often shows 123 patterns often in a form of spike. 1 Hour to wait for 123 daily pattern. By focusing on 1 Hour, I could see a how a daily trend...

Please share your favourite Moving average levels

What indicator do you use to figure out that there is excess buying (selling)? Volume interpretation is very difficult but I think eventually I will find out the common pattern in the long run, just now I still cannot figure out. I rely on A/D to see judge whether there is excess buying...

Yesterday , I finally understood this "flat" in moving average...I don't know why we can't see it until someone points it out. After you said it kept reminding me while I was trading. Eventually I saw this flat in both long and short ma and gave me good signals for optimum entries. Thank you...

EURUSD - is its patterns inconsistent with price action on daily time frame?

Since I've been corrected about Euro (thanks to jordistric) I immediately realized that the next move would be UP. Anticipating it based on daily, I initiated a long based on1 hour cos there were two bars (one bearish, one bullish engulfing bars with higher high and low, which jack Hersey said...

EURUSD - is its patterns inconsistent with price action on daily time frame?

Although with GBPUSD I have yet to encounter another a rally after there was a decline on the top of rally maybe it could happen to GBPUSD one day. So it's good to learn this time. So after all, I have to focus on the intraday timeframes than daily. That's not a problem to me. I do not know how...

EURUSD - is its patterns inconsistent with price action on daily time frame?

So do you mean the price action works on EURO daily time frame? ok, then I will download the daily data over past 10 years from Thomson Reuter Tick History today. I have done GBPUSD but I haven't done EURUSD. Thanks

EURUSD - is its patterns inconsistent with price action on daily time frame?

We are not on the same page. You are talking about a price volatility caused by Brexit and I am talking about daily average price volatility. And if it was not Brexit, EUR would not even have appreciated to 140 either.

EURUSD - is its patterns inconsistent with price action on daily time frame?

Given that EURO is the most liquid currency among European currencies, its volatility is smaller compared to GBP and other European currencies. The implication is that like Yen, to some degree its price movement is limited to bring price stability to EURO. Have a read on Monetary policy for euro...

EURUSD - is its patterns inconsistent with price action on daily time frame?

I've got frustrated and upset after yesterday's loss. When I make a loss, I usually find out why. Given that Thursday's depreciation on the top of a rally on EURO, I initiated a short position, expecting EUR to at least form lower high and lower low on Friday (so that its price movement is...

EURUSD - is its patterns inconsistent with price action on daily time frame?

When trading GBPUSD, I find its patterns are better predictable and much more consistent in terms of price action. The downside is its bid-ask spread cost is relatively expensive compared to EURUSD (where its spread is nearly zero during liquid periods). But the downside of trading EURUSD is...

Karen the Supertrader - TastyTrade Hybrid Experiment

Oh, even an advanced level trader have a losing day...but I am more interested in what affected him to make such a decision. The most difficult part of trading I find is whether a pullback is a pullback or reversal but I think now I am getting better with that.
