The big indexes have a tendency to move in correlation. But why is that? The common known reasons are:
The major players like AAPL, Alphabet etc are the same
Risk on vs risk off moves
Reaction to the same macro data
Are there more, not so commonly known reasons?
It is way more interesting to play the option wheel when owning the stock. Dividends are just a gimmy and always priced in because profits are some sort of predictable if you are an instituition with an army of analysts and other tools like credit card data.
Netflix pricing was never sustainable in the first place. From the moment "Friends" was announced to be withdrawn from their library to HBO, Amazon, Apple and Disney announcing their rivalry it was so god damn easy to predict.
