the Bond market has priced in the END OF THE WORLD

It's a fact of life that when economies tank crime surges so yes everything that is a vice will do well in bad times. I was debating with someone the other day that if things got really bad, goods with real value would be better stores of wealth than cash or even gold.

    25 bps cut...

Haha, you could hear the traders on the floor b@(%hing as they heard the announcement. I think the FED dropped the ball here, not with the rate cut but with their policy statement. No sense of urgency in needing to help the markets. This is the problem with the FED. They don't know how to do...

    Todays Rally 11/13/07

Today was just one day. You can't make any claim based on one days action. Today was up big on no news "other than WM" and I am thinking any bounces are sellable. The next few days are very important. The new accounting rule comes into effect tomorrow if I am not mistaken.

Why to short the Canadian Dollar

I think the USD has so many bad things happening that it's still too early to find a bottom. Forex trends tend to last for decades, not months! Look how many years the CAD was in the dumps, down to 1.64/US at times. I don't think the USD will change until either Iraq is fixed, which is still...

    PPT action pattern..

Honestly, I would be surprised if GS wasn't. Over the next months keep an eye on which firms end up having perp walks by the justice department and which don't. IMHO that is a big tell of who does or doesn't act as a FED proxy.

Nov 9-Fri..what indicated the 10:20AM-EST emini index trend reversal?

S&P broke 1490 the other day, and badly. That was the confirmation that the downtrend is now in and the bears are ready to feast on the Cramericans. Also look at the BIG CAP TECH GOOG, BIDU, RIM. RIM down 8% so far today on top of yesterday. GOOG down 3%. Serious MM selling going on here...

    Bernanke HUMILIATED by RON PAUL

You would never understand why we need more Ron Paul threads. Everyone on this forum knows you as the resident moron, but please stop speaking about anything to do with economics. Ron Paul knows 1000x more on monetary policy than you ever will.

    Black thursday.

News flash! Kudlow doesn't know squat about nothing other than cheerleading because all he does is swing the pom poms around. Do you actually watch that "show"? You want bubbles? wait till 08 rears it's ugly head and remember markets look forward while the FEDS look backwards.

    VERY bad feeling about today

Most important post of today imho. S&P support at 1490 is very important. Market is looking VERY ugly today. I don't like what I am seeing at all. More news out from the FED saying more rate cuts coming.

Jim Rogers Supports Ron Paul for President - FT

Because I would be doing the same. :D Funny how the MSN elitists portray RP as a nutcase and try to discredit him every chance they get, yet his platform sounds more sane than the majority of what goes on in US policy today. Romney seems alright but I know the Christian right won't have a...

    Citigroup shares drop

The FED is now up $hit creek without a paddle because of this kind of market mentality. Ok whenever bad news comes out and the market has a bad day the FED will be there to bail everyone out. After all that's what their there for./sarcasm

Fed will announce what at 2:15pm Wed?

FEDS will announce that BEN will be dropping big bags of cash onto Wallstreet Just in time for trick or treating. After all that's what the FED is there for.

Paulson Says U.S. Hasn't `Hit the Bottom Yet in Housing' Slump

I think certain areas will always be hot realestate no matter what kind of market is out there in general. People will always pay a premium for quality locations. It's the bubble markets that people need to be more concerned about.
