coments on david landry trading style

Dave Landry, One of your former colleagues at TradingMarkets.com has told many people that due to your own trading techniques you went bankrupt during 1999 - 2000 period when others were making a fortune. Personally I have no idea if this is true or not, and I don't really care. However...

What profession did you come from?

We were on a float in the Red Sea when we exfill'd out of Lebanon in 1983 = Ugly MF'ing shizznit! Other than that no. I was Reagan Marine, back then all of our workups were gamed against whacking Commies. :) I felt sorry for you guys in Somalia. You could just see that was eventually...

    Bond Futures

Okay, but you're still either misinterpreting what I said in this thread or you're making assumptions about my style that are inaccurate. I'm not a gambler. The terms "house money" and "playing with profits" have no business on the trading floor.

    Bond Futures

You misinterpreted my "122.00" comment entirely. It was not in reference to how much unrealized profit I had. Personally I try very hard to remove the profit "thought" from all of my trades. The comment was simply to point out that since Bonds and Currencies tend to trend very well by...

    Bond Futures

Ah .... see now you're asking the right questions grasshoppa. The answer depends on what you consider to be "a nice profit." And whether or not your account is properly capitalized. Me, I know how Bonds and interest rates trade. And since I'm short from 122.00, it's is VERY possible...

    Bond Futures

Analysis good. Trading not so good. Yes, however my point is how much did you lose and/or miss by trying to outthink this move? I'm not trying to bash or embarrass you, the market does that in spades to all of us. But seeing a H&S pattern and actually taking full trend profits are two...

    Bond Futures

This has Bond move has been a fantastic example of why one need not make trading some overly difficult task. Simply put if you can perceive when the herd is leaning the wrong way you can just put on your positions and then get the hell out of the way and try not to outthink the move. This...

Good God!!???! What short timer!!!! Does anyone remember when Van T was a Psycho Analysts in Glandale California? Anyone...anyone???? It appears obvious that the average age of Elite (Guffaw Guffaw) Trader is about 26? He is hardly the trading guru. This guy is NOT the trading...

Is a mentor necessary to have success as a trader

Yes you're right, Brandon owes nothing to anyone. And yes, Optional777 has shown his personal insecurities. There's no doubt that Option777 has self worth issues. Otherwise this non-issue bullshit Brandon minutia would have never occurred to him. Unfortunate really. Dr. Zhivodka...

Is a mentor necessary to have success as a trader

Having a mentor may or may not have a great deal to do with ones success as a trader. However, an unhealthy obsession with other traders or vendors is most definitely detrimental to ones success as a trader. "Your competition is not the guy next to you. Your competition is you"-- Dr...

    Bond Futures

Yeah, it's tough to try to be long in here. With the current oversold Bond condition and the Jobless Claims at a 20 yr high and the Dow off 125pts and S&P off 15 and the Bonds are still flat on the day?!?! Hell, they should be up 50 ticks. "If you're not long you're wrong" :)...
