oh yeah, especially on really big days. tick, trin, prem, cash, DJIU, and bonds, NYSE and nasdaq comp. You get a feel for how they are all moving, and then it is really easy to notice when one starts acting up. Something to watch when you have a nice profit and aren't determined to hang...

    tws 783 Bracket Trade

Chris, if you have a price up and price down hotkey, you just highlight the stop then hit your price increase hotkey (that cancels the stop until price is where you want it, then hit your transmit hotkey and that re enters the order. It is especially easy if you set the stop price directly...

    Deducting Trading Expenses

It is confusing because mtm traders don't use sched d. And all 1256 contracts (which is what e mini are) are marked to market at year end. Most info out there is for stock traders, and for most stock traders mtm election is good. So you have to sift through it all because it is not always clear...

    why do we need spreads?

offer it at 4.60 and the spread will narrow to .05. You can eliminate the spread by offering it at 4.55, but I doubt that will last long. If you like tight spreads try bidding 4.73 and see what happens.

    trading room

If you posted specific rules for a profitable trading system it will be deleted. I post rules for many of the profitable systems I trade, and Baron deletes them and uses them himself. Oh by the way, sorry about that last one Baron, I swear it had been very profitable up until the time I...

    Random Chart Contest: RESULTS!

Chart #11 will be random. How do I know? Just look at the pattern. Random charts always occur in groups of 2. Chart 1 and 2...random than all real charts Chart 6 and 7 random so after 1 random chart #10 a second random chart #11 must follow.

How many time frames do you use ?

I use the 1 min, and then when the page is not long enough to cover back to the open, I switch to 2 min, and then 3, then 4, and finally towards the end of the day I am on the 5 min chart. If I oversleep, sometimes I only need to go up to the 3 min. Because I don't care what happened before I...

    Tight Stops Nightmare!

Ask em, buy the bid or buy the ask? They will say, "Oh no, you mustn't buy the bid, you might miss a great trade." So then tell them you are using a 1 tick stop and they will say, "That's crazy, you will get stopped out before the move has a chance to develope." WELL WHICH IS IT...

    Simplicity Rules!!

My System only requires $2100 per contract. It would have made you $72,647 per contract already this year. It trades 2 to 4 times a week. The signal is obtained by reading just 2 figures each day in the Wall Street Journal. I'm thinking about making this system available to just a few close...

    E-mini traders....any advice

set everything up with hotkeys. So now, in your example, let's say you buy and you want to enter a sell stop, but not if your buy isn't hit first...so you set up a hot key to buy (mkt, limit at bid or ask or last or last minus .25, whatever you like) then auto stop. So your sell stop will not be...

What hours do you trade E-minis?

I only ask because I switched also, and I was curious if it was for the same reason, but I'm not going to tell why I switched because it's a secret. But since you are only kidding, maybe you will tell me why you switched.

What hours do you trade E-minis?

nitro, what is the reasoning for going long on odd? Also, I do not recommend changing any procedure based on previous win or loss. Do it the same way each time and the wins will come around. If you change based on previous trade, you run the risk of non random performance. The only...
