EXTREME RALLY coming: S&P 500 Moving Averages Show ‘Fierce’ Rally

Goes to show how many clowns are playing with large amounts of money. I remember watching clown vision a while back the host was doing a segment from the lobby of bear sterns and in the background you could hear their employees going "woot woot". That's something we would say back in highschool...

EXTREME RALLY coming: S&P 500 Moving Averages Show ‘Fierce’ Rally

Interesting I will look into that because I am getting some very mixed signals here ranging from a number of things. But S2000 is right the S&P macd crossed around march 15th and hasn't violated since allthough this rally is looking a little tired but still potentially lots of upside for now.

I take serious offence to that comment, well not really. How about you chime in instead of making stupid remarks that have the maturity level of a 5 year old. Seems to be the norm of posters on this forum which is exactly why some people don't post here very much.

Tomorrow Wednesday 09/09/2009: Beginning of Bear Leg

Watch S&P, my amateur call right here is that it will go to 1100. Nothing to worry about until it breaks around 950. It's been moving up strong on good volume in a nice channel. I'm trying to find reasons for the market to tank hard here but there doesn't seem to be many right now.

huge stock market rally is over for now!

I voted no, still more upside ahead. There are big longs and institutions that want this pullback so they can load up. The upward trend is still intact. Dow pullback to 7900 I think S&P already saw its pullback today, but if it gets some traction then back to 8-820 support. For more...

"Rotting assets and manufactured earnings" HOT Meridith Whitney trashes banks

She is 100% right. Nothing improved in fundamentals. Infact, look at the latest unemployment numbers. Barely improved, and was ofset by 60k + gov. jobs. If that isn't the magic hand of the government then I don't know what is.

    Ratigan Quits CNBC?

I can't stand CNBC or the 95% of the people they have working for them, but Ratigan was one of the few that grew on me. He comes across as a more straight forward guy. He always tries to do a good job of laying out the issues on fast money. I also hate bitchy back stabbing %#$(ts in the...

    Short the dollar hard

deflation? Depends what your perspective is I guess. So many generic products are all produced in china now that it would make sense that deflation would become more of an issue since the western world is so dependent on China for all the material carp we consume. Cars are clearly in deflation...

The Uptick Rule - Your Thoughts

Of course its a viable business. They make oodles of cash yet the market decided to slash their sp by almost 80%. Regardless of how viable a company you are, when that happens it invariably effects a companies fundamentals to no fault of the company.

The Uptick Rule - Your Thoughts

Really? Should RIMM delist itself then? People weren't so sure of their success a few weeks ago and slashed the sp from 150ish down to a measly 35. Now the stock doubled from there because all of a sudden the market in all its wisdom decided that the company is still able to make good earnings...

The Uptick Rule - Your Thoughts

I already gave you one. How about I give you another REAL example. Look up TIMMINCO. This was a highly publicized case as of recent, granted the company had yet to prove itself as really viable and able to meet the markets expecations, but the shorts came out swinging against the company once...

The Uptick Rule - Your Thoughts

GM has been an unviable business for decades and the past has finally caught up with it and the others. Off the top of my head, BS comes to mind as rumours spread-and shorts piled on that helped lead to its demise, hence my comment of self fullfilling prophecies. Whether the work of short...

The Uptick Rule - Your Thoughts

Just like who wants to invest in a new car if the company isn't around to service it or fullfill the warranty. These things become self fullfilling prophecies.

The Uptick Rule - Your Thoughts

What is it with u and empirical research? Are you an uptick removal lobbyist? You have a empirical research fetish or something? Even what little research there is on the subject could still be flawed in its analysis, so just because some guys research shows one thing doesn't mean that's the...

The Uptick Rule - Your Thoughts

The Chinese market is also mostly made up of small retail traders, unlike fallstreet where the big money controls the action. The uptick rule was there for a reason to begin with, and of all the times to remove it they do it right as a major global financial meltdown is about to occur. If that...
