I received a PM asking how I obtain the MA of the highs and lows. I use nextrend and under MA parameteres you can select the data type, I select the H or L. Nextrend is pretty bare bones so I am sure and respectable software can do this. You are right about not knowing the reward for each...

All this talk really makes me wonder how I'm going to do when the range picks up, as I have learned to trade in this tight range market.

I trade with global and jtrader and have had no problems whatsoever. Fast fills, acurate quotes, and great customer service.

You are right about small range, 34 pts on the YM so far today. Grrr....

I had that shit too, caused me all sorts of problems yesterday. Do Ctrl-Alt-Del and end a process called mblast.exe, then you will have time to download the patch.

A 100 pt drop to me is a trend, whether it recovers or not...I only pay attention to the AM though, and I guess it did recover later, so technically no trend.

There were some good trends in the YM this AM, I thought. I am new to the market so maybe I am so used to chop that this just looked like a big trend to me?

I had my worst day in a while too, -53 Ym points. I got all used to the chop and then the trend took me by suprise this AM. I swear I need to recognize these trend days early, and trade them like I know how.

I would like to temporarily exchange books. I have the following: The Compleat Daytrader by Jack Bernstein The Master Swing Trader by Farley Technical Analysis of the Financial Markets by Murphy. I just want to read as many books as possible, so lets get some loans going!

I guess the smart thing to do would be to hand around after an unusual spike to make sure it is legit. One bad trade like this could wipe out a little fella like myself.

I don't think I am going to post my results here anymore. I'm not really getting anything out of it, and it is more like a chore than anything. I will post if anything interesting comes up. I steadily made profits today, mainly off pullback trades.

I don't think most kids could handle the stress of seeing money go bye-bye. I'm still kind of a kid (21) and I know it is tough on me.
