    ES Journal - 2019/2020

Just an observation, but the speed of this market throughout the day is like replaying the minutes after an FOMC meeting for hours at a time.

Trump election, futures were limit down. post-Brexit 2016, futs limit down. August 2015, futs limit down.

I challenged your ignorant comments towards Spooz Top, you f'ing idiot. In response, you addressed your comment towards me. Hence, I answered your post with a fair bit of honesty that you can't seem to handle. Again, I'd rather listen to the opinions of people who have actually PROVEN they...

    ES Journal - 2019/2020

This post sums up your lack of insight. If you had done even five minutes of search history on this poster, you'd realize this is just one small component of his years of experience and understanding of markets. Instead, you seem like the asshole who wants all the attention for himself...

Seriously, just GTFO already. You don't understand any terminology and take shots at people who have a clue. YOU are the problem.

Did you hang around the Prudent Bear forums 12-15 years ago?

    ES Journal - 2019/2020

You see a lot of "ghosts" after trading thru 1999-00, 2007-08, etc..."warning signs" lead to under performance on those generational blow off moves...the crowd that's never seen a bear market (i.e. those who started post-2009), just relentlessly buy and get bailed out. There's a good reason why...

Deez got the boot? Sure he was pretty obnoxious, but nothing out of the norm for this place. Heck there's at least a dozen versions of him running around this place at all times.

Will zero commissions lead to sharper sell-offs?

OP's comment was more insightful. Coupled with zero commissions are the fractional share offerings (tons of odd lot activity), the massive push for the young to jump in and overall illiquid price structure.

    The S&P 500 will top at 3250

Funny. I saw that shoulder and base late in the day. "Think like a criminal" type stuff to figure out how this thing is guided.

I'm not willing to do it, but for the sake of curiosity, I'd be interested to watch from a distance.

How about a few of the Chinese pure plays. We can chart them going forward. Perhaps a separate thread.

S&P Futures Opens Down 20 Points!

Schizo, You should have pasted the chart of Oct 1999 thru early Mar 2000. That comparison is very similar to end of Sep 2019 thru this past week.

    The sign of the times

Some very interesting concepts posted there tsfx. The real vs printed money argument is really the center of it all.

All bids and offers disappeared - has this ever happened?

btw, OP, this is a chart of the Argentinian Merval ETF. This is/was pretty close to a binary wipe out move. Down 40% in one day following a breakout to new highs.

All bids and offers disappeared - has this ever happened?

Although I have no personal experience with the complications of a flash crash on a position, the predicament of being long (short) a security and not knowing whether or not the trades will stand sounds pretty nightmarish. I've seen examples of traders entering an offsetting position (assuming...

    The economics of pawn shops

Well reasoned reply. I'd also argue that in the era of perpetually low interest rates, these usurious rates are even more absurd.

What do you think when you see a famous trader now selling courses & mentorship plans?

FTC just busted these guys. I honestly imagined this kind of garbage disappeared back in the early 2000's.
