MASSIVE MOVE awaits tomorrow, wednesday for Dow, SP, Russell

LOL!!!! Good stuff bro! I think I should start posting stuff I hear in my daily life as a retail broker calling on investors, and would be's. The things I hear from them...:D Here's one. I get a new retiree sent to me. He says, "ain't no way I'm going to put my retirement in the 'stalk'...

    Argh! Gotta get the 24

After being Independent for some time, and having the main office as OSJ, I was informed that I have to get the Series 24 in the next 45 days.:( Oh well, we're planning on bringing on a few guys/gals in my office who also have their Series 7, 66, and 3, and have to have it to be the OSJ, and...

So how do all the "pro's" feel about not watching CNBC?

CNBC is garbage. The only one there with common sense in Santelli. Yes, I'm a WOP, so, there's some bias on my end, but he is much better than the rest of the heads there.:D I like "Uncle Larry" and Ben Stein, but they aren't even in the same World as Santelli. Rick for President. Yes, I...

    Anatomy of a failed trade

This is the toughest (mentally) job there is imo. Especially since I manage other's money in this "environment."

Are you a sucker to invest in a 401(k)?

Don't do it. Insurance isn't for the creation of wealth despite what the insurance companies spew. I had a client come in with an old policy with 87m in cash value. Had he just bought the spx, he would have had over 300m today.

    Hahaha

LOL! Uncle Larry's going to have to change his tune, or Santelli will be in his seat.

Ben Bernanke Gives All Clear To Go Short

I agree. In my area, the 22oz bottles of Budweiser went from $1.19 each to $1.59 THIS week. The 22oz bottles of Miller Genuine draft all the way up to $1.79:eek: If the Fed thinks inflation is "anchored," I have news for him! I really hope we don't repeat the 1970's... Of course, my...

you have been trading for 5 years now and want out

I agree. The top paid guys in the business are in Pravate Equity, and Hedge Funds. Wish I could go from Retail Broker/RIA to Private Equity, but am sure it would be difficult for me getting hired with only 4 years Series 7, and 66...

A mentor for forming and marketing FX hedge funds

I would go with 25m minimum to open the account. 100m is a little heavy for now. Once you hit home runs for several years, you'll be able to up your accout minimum to 50m or even 100m. But at that, you'll need clients with more assets, so you don't wind up trading 30% of their nest egg in Forex...
