    There is no "system"

Yep people think because they cannot figure out something, its not possible. He probably can't figure it out due to his emotions, he sounds bitter, which is natural progression to an eventual good trader, but he has to overcome that emotion to get better.

    There is no "system"

HFT's doesn't count for this thread, because the subject is trading system. HFT does not have a system, it is based on speed. For example if I want to buy a DIA option for $1, an HFT is so fast they will see my order, front run me, purchase it for 90cents and sell it to me for a dollar...

Starting a fund / raising capital

I'm not sure if my associate consider trading for a prop firm as trading for the public, but I don't. The one prop firm I know of, you have to stake your personal money with theirs.

Starting a fund / raising capital

Coming from someone who trades his own money this is a good perspective. I do agree that those words may be insulting to some, especially if they trade for others. In America, using other people's money to enter business is the norm. Good point.

Starting a fund / raising capital

What do you all think of the following statement "Real Traders" trade for themselves, fake traders need other people money to loose. What my associate is saying (in private conversations) a good trader need, $10,000 in order to get rich, people who don't know how to trade "needs" other...

Starting a fund / raising capital

From my understanding really good traders make at least 20% per year on the lower end. This select group usually do not trade for others although they do teach how to trade (read "Millionaire Traders"---interviews with "real traders"). From reading this thread, if you live in the US it doesn't...

Starting a fund / raising capital

You know, I understand why you don't want to trade for a Prop Firm; for god's sake you have $3mil of your own money that you trade. What I don't understand, why do you want the hassle of trading for others, when the trading income from $3mil is huge based on your returns stated earlier in this...

Half way through life and not close to being consistent

STOP THINKING SO MUCH! Just go with the flow brother. You are trading on hope. The market is long, so go long. You are not trading for money bro, you are trading to be "right". Mr. Market will kill your account if keep on this self distruction path. I hate to sound like a "Trade Guru"...

Half way through life and not close to being consistent

You are spinning your wheels because you are trying to pick tops and bottoms, go with the flow. In long markets, only go long, search for a stock or etf with a good entry point and go long. There is no reason to go short at this time. The market will tell you when to go short. If you follow...

Any long term strugglers out there?

Good point. Right now I'm feeling kind of confident, maybe because I recently finish developing my swing trading program. If this does not work, I really don't know what I will do. For this month, last time I checked I was down over 3% with one week left in the month. Amazingly, I am still...
