What i´m missing in the combination TV/IB is placing orders on the chart. For example placing a limit order and a stop loss order as bracket order with a mouse click. That is possible with IB´s chartrrader. In TV i have to use the order panel which is very laborious and costs time. Or did i miss...

Why are you trading stocks on sierrachart and not on IB´s Tws? I´m still evaluating if third party products for IB are better than TWS itself. I tested Sierrachart, Motivewave, Medvedtrader and Tradingview.

Shorting strategies are much easier to implement because you haven´t to borrow the stock first. You can trade on leverage and must not invest the full amount to buy the stock. In Europe you have to deposit a margin of 20%.

Using IB´s datafeed in MW is quicker than using Ninja but when switching the time frame of a chart with some indictors on, you get stucked. Loading gets incredible slow so you can´t really work in a reasonable way. When using MW you shoud try an extra datafeed like dxfeed or barchart. But if...

The "loss" was relatively small. Sold 5 puts. Breakeven was at $2,75. For me it was rather improbable that the this stock could fall from $12 to under $2,75 within one month. It hasn´t been down so much in the past. But shit happens. I think i calculated this trade responsibly.
