I get the impression covestor is strictly for stock investors. For those trading futures contracts or something overseas, it would seem they must use collective2 or another site.

Yeah, I see they only have 'individual members' now - not sure what the difference is, given that as a local I spent very little time on the floor. Still, there might be benefits to membership, and one might even use that to get residency as I described above.

One avenue is to register as a local on Simex. Simex will then sponsor your residency permit, subject to certain minimums for trading volume. Alternately, you can incorporate your Local seat and then write a short business plan and apply for Entrepass based on you business. Been there, done that.

I don't know ... not sure I would call it a minor event given the highly coordinated 'stimulus' -like activity central bankers have undertaken around the world. Now the question is, how will all of this extraordinary stimulus be unwound? China seems to have gotten the ball rolling unilaterally...

This thread should be renamed 'Shanghai Leadership.' So foreigners cannot trade Shanghai, but it has still be leading, by a long Chinese mile.
