What are the benefits of a specialist? Some have said that it's easier to tape read stocks than futures because of the specialist, and that is why they don't trade futures. Can anyone explain in further detail? Also, do indicators work better in one than the other? Thanks.

Try trading the DIA SSF, I traded it for the first time today using the underlying stock. The spread ranged from 2-6 cents. I guess today was an easy day to trade anyway so I can't say much.
