Trading Daily & 4 Hour Charts Using Extremely Simplified Money Management Technique

Looks like a possible setup long occuring by the end of the week...which would be the first trade. almost as bad as watching paint dry. Hopefully the profits will be much better

Use www.shrinkpicture.com, I use it all the time. Its really easy. I am not affiliated with the website in any way.

Great trade. I did see the RSI over 90 on the 60m. I would be happy with 8.5 points any day :) Its always about scaling up in size once you have a profitable system that can get you 8.5 points a day. Edit: for me an extreme reading on RSI is not a system trade, but occassionally I will...

Renah, Good entry. I think you have a decent short setup off the 15m chart and the 60m could possibly help you with a few more bars. My only thought is that sometimes the longer time frames will negate a setup off the 15. What time frame are you looking at? I don't normally look at...

Raising stop to 1343, slightly above breakeven. Still looking for 1400-1410 sometime this week.

Interesting, thanks for the info. I don't have Bollingers up on my charting but I will take a look over the weekend. I was bullish today due to the 240m RSI bottom and Daily looked like a bottom as well (now confirmed with todays action obviously)

Exit First target 1362.50. Stop remains at 1330 for 1 contract. I was expecting this trade to take longer. If we get some retracement next week, I will be looking to add back the 1 contract. Good trading all, see you next week Jag Edit: exited 1 contract earlier than my original...

Ill go higher close on all 3. :) RSI looks like a bottom yesterday on the daily, and definitely on the 240m.

Kamek, which broker? At least you aren't long and trying to get out. Most people have multiple accounts in case of situations like this.

No debate here :) I agree 100%. For me, this is where risk management comes in when higher time frames don't line up. I will be much more aggressive with moving my stop up and/or try to scalp my position. When all the charts line up I'll be much more patient. I am also willing to add...

Closed out last target at 1344. All charts bearish. If we can get a retrace I'll setup a short trade.

Agreed, but stranger things have happened :) 30m chart is turning bearish but 60, 120, and 240 all look bullish Edit: Yep left that out as well. Thx JSS

Moving stop to 1339, RSI is starting to roll over on some of the timeframes. Last target moved to 1359 from 1361.

    Marketsurfer's bold gold proclamation

PaulRon, Thanks for the comments. Could you share why you think Gold is heading lower? Is it related to dollar weakness or more? I still believe that Gold is heading higher. The weekly and daily RSI had bottomed out when I placed my trade. Unfortunately, my entry was poor as I was...

Yes I am. I know that mathmatically scaling out is inferior, but my results are better when I scale out vs. all out. I've gotten a lot better at placing my stop, thanks to ET and especially this thread. I might change this after the end of the month when I do my semiannual review. I was...
