Learning to read Price Action with P&F Charting

It's unfortunate that you bought these right before what may be a strong day, lol I like NFG - it has a long way to go, I'd consider scaling out/placing tighter stops around 28

    Annuities....The Next Nightmare

Yes, but assuming it is 20 years until maturity, keep in mind this is about a 6.5% annual rate of return (assuming your figure of 3.5 is correct) After inflation, which we can under-estimate at 4%, you are left with 2.5%. I don't mean to be a downer but want to make sure you know what...

    Question about MBA

From what I've heard, most likely not. Now, I'm not sure if this is against the rules, and I apologize if it is, but I suggest the OP check out wallstreetoasis.com, there are many more who have taken/are taking the MBA/finance degree route and they may be able to offer you more relevant advice.

Learning to read Price Action with P&F Charting

Well, it wasn't really a good call, the market as a whole went down, if that went down, say, 20%, then I'd take credit :) Regardless, you're right, this is not a time to go long unless everything is lining up (or want to DCA some investments which I'm looking into doing)

Why the controversy? Jack Hershey SCT system works just fine.

Why the controversy? Jack Hershey SCT system works just fine.

To be honest, MandelBrotSet, I am surprised at your condescension towards Daniel33. Take a look at the PnL thread, and notice how a lot of the big winners trade shares. The only reason I am even responding to this comment is because, on other threads, you've seemed to be a pretty...

    Annuities....The Next Nightmare

Don't zero coupon bonds have, zero coupons? As in, no interest? Also, since they have a par value of of 1,000, clearly they can't go up 20% per year. Also, you are benefiting, in my opinion, from the recent flight to quality that has driven yields down/prices up, not something that you can...

Why the controversy? Jack Hershey SCT system works just fine.

Why bother spending so much time criticizing SCT followers? If you do it to prevent newer members from wasting their time, in your opinion (coincidentally, mine as well), then that is mostly a moot point - it is abundantly obvious that many here don't follow this strategy and see it as a...

an interesting (depressive for investors) chart: http://stockcharts.com/def/servlet/SC.pnf?chart=anr,PLTADANCBO 104 seems to have been a very obvious top ... 3rd time around I imagine some of us would've gotten short? I think a good screen for the future may be stocks that have hit a...
