    Best Direct Broker

Yes, IB is max 40 at a time. In QuoteTracker you can have as many portfolios as you want, so if you wanted to split up all your stocks into portfolios of 40 symbols each, you can switch between them, but that really isn't the optimal solution. If you have that many symbols, it would be best...

    XOOM Trade v. RealTick

We do not have multiple workspaces as you think of them since QT does not use MDI interface (where you have one window and all the others are inside of it). In QT, all windows are separate. Will be adding the multiple layout type options in the future, and possibly container windows

    IB with QT

the cancel fee described on: http://www.interactivebrokers.com/html/generalAccount/otherFees.html is not specific to the API. The same cancel fees would apply for orders placed and/or canceled through TWS.

Does IB's Level II include ECNs?

However, doing that uses up multiple symbol subscriptions and IB limits...

Does IB's Level II include ECNs?

IB NASDAQ Level II dcontains only SuperMontage participants. Most Level II systems do show the best bid/ask for ECNs just like other MMs. With CyberTrader and MB Trading, you can also have the full ECN Book consolidated in the level II display, not just the best bid/ask (both in their...

the IQFeed datafeed is base $20 + exchanges, plus another $20 if you want real-time futures, so with futures, it would cost $40+exchange fees. and yes, you can have one source feeding one portfolio and another feeding another portfolio. You would also want to explicitly select IQFeed as the...
