ES is not trending, just trading in a range. 1281 to 1283 with the bias to the downside on long-term chart. It doesn't look like to make major moves either way in the short time period. Scalp this range for now.

667 tick chart: I would look at the price less often, focus on the indicator ONLY. The best time to go short is when the short-term MACDs cross below the long-term MACDs - it happened right at the open. I've not pulled any triggers because of conflict signals - 210 tick (short-term) wants...

ES 210 tick chart (now 1282.25). Short-term MACDs rising, long-term MACDs stalling. Wait until short-term MACDs becoming red to go short. Let it riding up some.

Since ES chart gives me clear signals for the day, I would go play ES for the day. Short signals on all period at 1282. 667 tick down trend, 550 chart downtrend. MACD is going below 0. 210 tick downtrend.

Ditto. I used it for a month and half, I must say it made me miserable in the past two weeks. I used to trade YM and now trade ER2 with the same #s of contracts to scalp. Horrible thing happens when the connections broke down for no reason and the stop orders won't send to the exchange...

From what I found by observing the market for the past several days, this market is not good for quick scalping. It is good for making one or two swing trades in a day. Using a bigger timeframe. Short it around 10:00 AM, or 11:15 AM, or around R1/R2/R3, hold on to it for several hours, cover it...

I also told him how to use the fib retracements to play ES. The fib retracement/extension worked perfectly today on ES, it was topped at exactly the 200% fib extension at 1272.50.
