    trading and working night jobs

I know of numerous traders who started like you describe. Works particularly well on the West Coast for those with flexible schedules. They trade the morning session 6:30-8:30, and then go to work. Some also take a long lunch 11:00-1:00 to do the closing session and just work a little bit...

    Software platform for Bright

Have you tried RediExpress? It's basically a clone of "the Watcher" which was Broadway's streamlined NASDAQ execution system. All RediPlus users should be able to get access to it. I'm not a NASDAQ trader, but if you are, I suggest you check it out.

    Misc. Fees at Prop firms?

Remote traders also have access to a platform developed specificially for them which gives them a number of other capabilities found few other places... such as audible alerts on user-determined high and low spread values (which pair/spread traders really like). Also a good deal when you...

    satellite internet access

Yes, But I let them know the pitfalls. If you're trading style is such that a second delay will affect your trading, I don't recommend it. But for longer duration trading styles, it's fine.

Trading only career that doesn't require people?

Well, We've had this going for a few days now. And in *my* opinion, only 2 other careers have met the criteria: Betting on horses... but I question if there are many if any people profitable with this. Collecting and redeeming recyclables... This is definite as I've seen people making...

Trading only career that doesn't require people?

Then you're back to trading as the career and trapping rabbits is equivilant of getting groceries (or for the equivilant of keeping people to a minimum... having WebVan deliver your groceries)

Trading only career that doesn't require people?

Skerbitz, I never meant that what *I* do doesn't involve communicating with people. I look down at my phone some days and see 50+ incoming phone calls (and that doesn't count out going calls). I like trading and I like managing. Managing gives me the people contact that trading is lacking...

Trading only career that doesn't require people?

That would be so close if someone didn't have to hire you. Being from a state full of lighthouses, I understand that those were plum jobs that you had to have connections to get.

Not necessarily. They have automated centers now. Just like you used to have to talk to a broker... now you don't

Trading only career that doesn't require people?

I think we have another winner: No one to work with. You know how much you're going to get for your effort. Law says they have to take your redeemables If you want to bump up your efforts and ask establishments for their redeemables, that would involve people, but for the basic business...

Trading only career that doesn't require people?

Individual sports is definitely in the running. But as Iron ("big bite") Mike demonstrated, you still have to play nice or they won't let you play. However, if a trader got kicked out of one trading room for being too obnoxious, he could go to another. In the same vein, Iron Mike got kicked...

Trading only career that doesn't require people?

I will admit that there there may be no direct interaction, but through your marketing efforts, you still have to CONVINCE people to come to your website and submit an order. In trading, you can just take the ask or hit the bid (maybe not necessarily your style, but works for some) - no...
