Think we will see an End of day rally? 3/4/08

    S&P looks fried.

    Commodity Bubble/Correction on the way.

It will correct. Corrections are actually very healthy and that negates the bubble factor. Gold needs to correct soon, but I think oil wants to go to 110 before correcting down to the 80's again. A lot of base metals have already corrected in the past 6 months and now they are continuing their...

Think we will see an End of day rally? 3/4/08

Looks like the market will dump hard again and sooner rather than later. I just get that fealing. More rumors of banks going down More ratings of bond insurers in question More unemployment More dollar destruction More fiscal deficits from never ending war on terror More rampant...

    How to Trade Bollinger Bands

I find bollinger bands are very good technical indicators. I find them especially useful in detecting breakouts.

Iraq is probably the most expensive coffin the US has bought to date.

Muni bonds selling a full 100 bps above 5 year treasuries

I agree. I think they will be scooped up when more forced selling for liquidity by the hedgies occurs.

Muni bonds selling a full 100 bps above 5 year treasuries

Just saw it on CNBC. Billions of dollars in muni bonds being dumped onto the market by hedge funds resulting in yields higher than 5 year treasuries.

Is Bush really the worst President ever - Economically the answer is YES

Bush didn't cost American trillions in dollars. The large special interest groups infecting the top levels of government are what is really costing the American economy it's own life blood. I was tempted to select I gave up caring because I still care but it doesn't make a difference anymore. US...

    stagflation is back!!! what now?

This is a different animal. The stagflation is just one part of the problem. The other part is the financial gridlock of credit markets. The FED had to start cutting rates because of the abrupt slowdown in growth but they were late to the game and their timing was off. That will probably end up...

Fed's Kohn on Crack. See's Inflation Moderating

Quote from Landis82: You really don't get it do you? There are tremendous DEFLATIONARY forces going on in the banking system. The FED cannot avoid those DEFLATIONARY forces, otherwise there will be a "Depresssion" that makes the 1929-1932 period look like a cakewalk. And yet you claim...

Fed's Kohn on Crack. See's Inflation Moderating

EDIT: VISA sure picked a good time to "unlock it's true value in the marketplace". What will happen when the credit card defaults start to sky rocket? Meanwhile MBIA and friends are conducting business as usual and people wonder why things are so f#&ed up.

Fed's Kohn on Crack. See's Inflation Moderating

I am not sure what aspect you are talking about in the "free market" because it's the free market that partly caused this nightmare to start with. Trillions of dollars in derivatives and level 3 garbage were conjured up by the "free market" and not because of sound government policy and watch dogs.

Fed's Kohn on Crack. See's Inflation Moderating

Yes it does! Every time they talk about tame inflation the commodity markets give a big FU back. :D Talk is cheap it's all in the charts.
