You cannot use QT. Medved Trader is the replacement. Https://Medvedtrader.com That will work with stock watch pretty much the same as quote tracker did.

@Capablanca79 - I am biased and can't mention others. However, Options is actually TOS's strong suit. Just wanted to see what you were looking for from the software before you committed.

Well, I I wasn't really panning TDA for live trading. Just why use TOS. One of my favorite comments from a client is “Thank you for saving me from the Think or Swim program, a Sherman Tank for cruising the highway. Just not very nimble.”

@Capablanca79 - on a side note - why are you getting the TOS software in the first place? Do you need something that it provides that is not supported better by other software that works with TD Ameritrade? We have a saying - friends don't let friends use TOS :)

IB datafeed is not every tick. It returns whatever changed since previous update, I think around 4 times a sec max (have not checked recently). TDA datafeed by default is also aggregated. You can however request "TIME_SALES" which is a tick datafeed. You would then have to merge it with the...

TDA doesn't like to promote platforms they don't own. Heck, they didn't even promote QT when they did own it :)

They don't want to support it. TDA is turning off the login access for QT. And I believe the QT server, so the registration stuff would also fail (depending on QT version). And of course they want everyone to use TOS, and like it, whether they like it or not :). To quote a recent client...

A lot of changes needed to be done to the code dealing with IB API, including dealing with new ambiguity in the way QT was requesting some symbols. Being that there is nobody there to make those changes, some stuff just won't work, patched or not.
