IB TWS doesn't show bid/ask but price

It is all about the Bund, not the DAX. The Bund starts trading at 8:00 CET (2:00 am EST) and for quite a while there where no bids/aks shown in the TWS. TWS works as usual now. OK? Bernd Kuerbs

IB TWS doesn't show bid/ask but price

I called IB, they say it is a problem of the Eurex, not feeding the data correctly. Maybe, CQG delivers and displays the data correctly. Regards Bernd Kuerbs

The Ultimate DAX Scalping Discussion Thread!

This is a phenomenon you will see quite often: one side is much larger than the other, say, like in the example you watched, it is the ask side. People think now, market should drop, because it takes much less effort (contracts) to push it down. Not so: the ask side being much larger usually...

From all I know, SSL does not (yet) work on the swiss server. But is it so important for you? Regards Bernd Kuerbs

    IB Release Notes......Build 815

I do not know. Where did you install the upgrade - in the system directory \WINNT\system32 ? If so, your string is correct. I used this procedure: Click the "Start"-button in the Task-Bar and select "Control Panel", there will be an icon "Java Plug-in". Double-click this icon, a dialogue...

Market Profilers - help please (CQG)

CQG gets their data where all data vendors get their data from: from the quote vendor feed of the Eurex. IB e.g. distributes the member feed to their customers. CQG applies its own filtering to this feed. I suggest you do a search in ET for "Tick data", "IB data feed" or simillar terms...

    Velocity Trader DAX Journal

ACE (CBOT) used the software provided by Eurex. They will discontinue to do so and have started to switch over to using Euronext Liffe software: YM trades already on the new platform, the bonds will follow in January. As to the version Eurex will roll out in February (if they start at this...

    Velocity Trader DAX Journal

It probably sounds worse than it really is. I think there have been a lot of discussions in this board about data feeds, so if you search you will find a lot of material. Your trading platform will give you real-time bid/ask/last and market depth. The 1,5 - 2 seconds refer to Time and Sales...

    Velocity Trader DAX Journal

This depends upon what kind of stop orders you use: Eurex offers native stop market orders. I.e. when your stop is triggered, it will be turned into a market order. Not everyone likes market orders. When you want to use stop limit orders, they have to be simulated, preferably on your broker's...

    A New Era in Papertrading

ButtonTrader will only replay sessions you recorded using ButtonTrader, because of the format used and all the other data stored in a recorded session, e.g. market depth, which is usually missing from historical tick data. There are some recorded sessions on the website of ButtonTrader. If...

DAX/ESTX: continuous daily data for future or cash.

This is due to the way the cash index is computed: it is done every 15 seconds. In the morning, when trading starts on XETRA, the first computations will use the closing price of a stock (from the previous session), if this stock has not yet opened. This can and does lead to differences...

    IB-problems in Europe

There is nothing funny or fishy about it: these are roll-over trades, people wanting to get out of the Dec contract into the Mar 04 contract. You will see this in all Eurex contracts every 3 months. Look up the Eurex pages for "Time Spreads" or "Calender Spreads" Regards Bernd Kuerbs

IB logged me out at 13.25pm...Mkt Tanked...

I'm puzzled. I'm also connected via the Swiss Server but did not experience any problems (I did not have any trades open). Quotes continued as usual, TWS did not restart. Bernd Kuerbs

Somebody tried to rip off my IB account and wire money to New Zealand

Ask the author of the program, why it connects to this address. Probably just looking for the latest version of the program. Why should anyone be interested in your trades or anyone else's? Pretty boring I'd say. If a hacker is interested in some information, then it will be your account...
