Question from a homegamer:
For you good guys who have been around successful traders (especially you Mav, with all your experience dealing with a large number of traders) I would appreciate your take on Jason Leavitt's comments starting at approximately the 43:00 minute mark. In a nut shell...
Okay then. Does the 1st day of the year or the 1st two weeks of the year pattern occur much? (As a refresher: a] does the first day of the year high or low create the high or low for the year and/or b] does the first two weeks of the year high or low create the high or low for the year?) Well...
Hello RB,
I should have said “Last positive confirmation on 10/26/15” etc. I had a negative confirmation on 12/10/15.
I only post number lines that reflect the Fisher confirmation methodology in the event someone wants to follow along with this ole homegamer.
Here’s the thing with my daily A...
My Dollar ETF (UUP) confirmed today. Last confirmation was 10/29/15. That one was on a monthly A up (yes it was very late in the month) but it also had a strong monthly number line. If one had bought the next day opening there was a nice 2.5 to 3% increase during November.
Today’s...
Per the Fisher comments about first day and first two weeks of the year, I bribed my darling daughter to input SPX data beginning around 1980. She inputs the "Setup" and "Results" and then I added the "Summary". I started with 98 so here's a number of them if you have an interest.
1998 Setup...
Of the top 50 stocks in the SP-500 with the best Relative Strength (scanned using an IBD based code in TC2000) 11 are just nearly dead on their monthly A down levels. Examples are
AMZN: Mo A Down at 608.90 and it’s right there.
ATVI: Mo A Down at 35.66 and Thursday Friday wicks are there...
Hey Koolaid,
Ole Mav's post from back in July has helped me make the decision to jump when I otherwise wouldn't have. As us hillbilly's say .... "It's a goodern". :)
"OK, I think you are confusing the different types of number lines. So the longest one or the macro one if you want to look at...

You know I can visualize charts with the 5 day and monthly NL's under these too. What they did ... how they reacted, etc.
Mav I sent you an email and perhaps you can take a peek when you have time.
Thanks again
Hello Mav,
I’d like your thoughts on a potential number line type indicator before I do the work.
Question: Do you think a bullish percent type NL indicator would have some value? I was thinking of this last night (yes I was full of good cheer :))
Here’s a summary of the bullish percent...
Hello Wappler,
EBAY: 16
FB: 15
KRE: 10
ORCL: 16
(My FB ss was off a bit yesterday. It' correct now.)
This is just a reminder for anyone who may be new at keeping number lines: Everyone will do it a little differently. True past tape readers like Mav see things a homegamer like me will...
Well thanks for posting that info. This will have to be our last post on “Automated Number Lines” as that will definitely get us “thrown off the Island” if we pursue it. :)
I keep all my NL’s by hand. I use the dumbed down HomeGamer method and it’s based on a 10 minute OR.
So ….
EBAY: NL...
Thank you sir.
Are you using the Fisher standard two consecutive +/- 9's for confirmation?
If yes, and if you don't mind, when did ...... say EBAY, KRE and ORCL confirm, and what is their current NL?
Tell me yours and then I'll tell you mine. :)
