    Shortie Got His Crash!!

Even if it was an error, I'm just glad that my trading system using TradeStation was able to keep up. This was a good trial by fire. This will be one difficult mess to clean up.

Bernanke Admits Printing $1.3 Trillion Out Of Thin Air

http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=192311 Check the above ET post. Now that the Fed has helped the banks, they don't want to monetize any normal gov't debt.

Bernanke Admits Printing $1.3 Trillion Out Of Thin Air

Keep in mind that monetizing the MBS is not the same as monetizing gov't debt. The FED has stated they dont expect to monetize gov't debt. The MBS monetization was just another favor for the banks.

Here is how the GDP was manipulated Q1 & going forward

The goal is to keep everything going, with the appearance of improvement, until after the midterm elections. I bet 2011 is when America will go for an austerity package. I've posted in earlier posts that calculation parameters for numbers like unemployment, the real deficit, etc.. are...

How Goldman Sachs May Have Manipulated the Markets Today

At least twice this week, Gold has gone up while the market tanked. That is an interesting sign...

Greek 2-year bond yield rises above 13 per cent

Well, the Fed has said they don't want inflation. The Fed has also said they don't want to print. But, perhaps we are still lucky we have 0% rates and no major inflation so far. How long that luck holds is the question.

Peter Schiff: Greece better of than the US

Yes. Contrary to popular belief, this didn't start under Obama. It started 40 years ago when we left the gold standard.

How Goldman Sachs May Have Manipulated the Markets Today

I doubt there is any GS conspiracy involved. Gold is skyrocketing while stocks crash. The "markets" may finally be seeing the trickle down ponzi start to unravel with Europe leading the way. Or it could be a brief blip. GS has nothing to do with it I believe.

    Greece

Greece needs to be completely weened away from financing their gov't with debt. Regardless of whether they choose to raise taxes or cut spending to balance the budget, the gov't that implements these reforms will be voted out. The next gov't that is in place can then take the credit for...

    The Next Bailout Recipients?

Airlines operate on a razor thin margin. So, if they don't start flying normally soon, it's either bankruptcy or bailout time. Either choice is bad.

    What if hekla/katla erupted too?

I saw an article that said this one erupted too. Did this one really erupt or is this just some sort of joke? In any case, the articles I've seen seem to think it would impace Euro agriculture at least and perhaps North American ag. Any thoughts?

    The Next Bailout Recipients?

The funny thing is that this volcano is just a "baby" compared to that katla one nearby. If Katla ( which they say is 100 times stronger than this one) goes off, the entire planet may need a bailout.

    SEC charges GS with fraud

The federal Gov't typically won't bring charges unless they have enough evidence for close to a 100% chance of winning. GS is in serious trouble. Just my two cents.

Eurozone details $40.5 billion aid plan for Greece

Wouldn't be surprising. There is so much innuendo and misdirection within the financial community today.

Eurozone details $40.5 billion aid plan for Greece

This is just delaying the inevitable. How is allowing Greece to pile up even more debt, even if the interest rate is somewhat lower, a solution to a problem of too much debt? Talk about fighting a fire with gasoline...
