    From Russia with love

Something about Russians honestly. Here in Melbourne, Australia a number of people who were born of Russian parents who migrated here after the second world war, are fervent critics of Putin and his cronies. We have copped death treats as well! And we are Australians!

    I am 25, but I whish I was 85, so I could die.

You know we often don't know how lucky we are. We take so much for granted. Imagine how offensive we would sound to a Russian in some back water nuclear waste ridden s***hole in Siberia! Or some Somalian child who has had their parents blown away by a warlord. Life can sometimes get us...

    Yahoo

YHOO was in the bargain category for a few months, probably still is. Hedge funds were manipulating the stock price for a few months because there were a lot of put options held by a few smaller funds. Now it will probably recover to somewhere around $33-34

Seriously, why did the Republicans fudge the intelligence about WMD's in Iraq?

    Milton Friedman dies

Milton Friedman's theories were not logical and could not be implemented in the 'real world'. He lived off the (taxpayer funded) university payroll all the while adocating the diminishing role of government. It is little wonder he was so loved by politicians. We in Australia have been...

    Another dead Democrat...

This is why the rest of the world says "NO" to a 'democracy' like yours. What happened in Florida when Bush II was elected? :D

Jobs in Sydney, Australia for US citizens?

A lot of US citizens come here expecting Australians to worship them. A lot of US citizens arrive here because they can't make it back there. I am sure you will find a cozy clique in one of the many American Chambers of Commerce here and exchange business cards while whittling your days...

    Milton Friedman dies

Milton Friedman advocated a diminishing role for governments while working for government departments and a government (taxpayer) funded university. Judgement Day comes to us all, even the Nobel prize winners.

    2 US students sue Borat

I think that people these days are brought up with the idea that fame is a positive thing, it is NOT! Why do you think a lot of hedge fund managers court secrecy and are very discreet types. Everyone who was made a fool of in this film deserves it but I think if they had a chance to think it...

    Mark Steyn's Interesting Take

1/ Hungarians are NOT Muslims....They are a God Fearing Christian nation...... 2/Moscow is in Russia 3/ They don't have Hungarian insurgents in Moscow. The capital of Hungary is Budapest 4/There, in fact, were the equivalent of 'insurgents' in Budapest. A large portion of these 'insurgents'...

    Any traders in Perth?

I went to Perth in 1994. I really enjoyed it but come to think of it I wouldn't want to live there. Great for a visit though. The walk along the beach to Fremantle is really beautiful. I'm staying in Melbourne though...:D

    Any traders in Perth?

The problem with Perth is that half the people are inbred with aboriginals and the other half are members of criminal gangs. Business people are notoriously corrupt:- Alan Bond, Laurie Connell etc We don't call it the 'Wild West' for nothing around here (Melbourne) Perth Naa!! Just stay...
