    Compounding To A Big Winner

Sounds good, go for it. Don't see any reason why not to. One caveat: Make sure the liquidity is high enough, so you don't take more slippage on your larger reversals

How come many peope seem to think daytraders incrEAse volatitlity? Is this the same "logic" (pop-science) as cheap imports from China threaten jobs in America? I am clueless, somebody wants to explain? ps. so my answer is NO

    Opening bonds

thanks, so now i realize what i really wanted to ask ;-) : Are the best trends after the opening of the bonds itself (8:20), Or after the opening of the equities (9:30)?

    Opening bonds

Yes, I do understand that. What I really want to ask though, if you need the the equity futures to be opened as well, before it makes sense to use the opening range breakout strategies etc? I ask this because when I traded Eurex some while ago, I noticed that the best trends in the bunds...

    Opening bonds

-as the treasuries open earlier than the equities: Question for the bond traders/scalpers: Are the treasuries in the early morning any active before the equity index futures open? Or do you have to wait untill the equity index futures open to meet the same kind of action as I associate...

Econ. thought on prod. and currency rate

In the long term, for an economy to grow, the productivity per head should grow. Higher productivity, means higher output with lower costs. That would mean I can buy one unit of a good in the economy with higher productivity per head cheaper than in the other economy. Therefore the...

What is up with all the anti-IB threads lately?

IB is getting behind the curve on lowest commissions. It's natural when people start complaining, you don't want to be put up with mistakes if you're paying more. That is what's going on imo

    IB and Selectnet preference

Selectnet? You mean the ancient OTC technology? Nowadays it's supermontage to hit the mm's, under supersoes in ib if correct.

    GFT 1 pip spread AUD/CHF

I am currently watching the DealbookFX demo from gftforex.com. It is showing the AUD/CHF spread 1 pip wide since I am watching it 10 mins ago. Is this usual? At least you can profit from it now..

IB losing the edge in commissions!

AMEX, that pos excuse for a stock exchange? I have (had?) direct acces to amex but it was totally useless, and expensive as hell too btw. Yes regional exchange might be helpfull if electronic. The Chicago exchange is accessible through supermontage allready.

    Market Maker Experience???

Hmm, why do i feel some mm's are actually spurring the panic sometimes ;-) ? Maybe that's another good question for the (ex-) mm's. Do you have leeway to advertise in order to push a proprietary (or non-proprietary) position your way?

    I found the Holy Grail

If I understand you correctly, this means that your winners have to be at least 3 times larger than your losers not? Add commissions and slippage. Sounds to me if you are correct (and it could well be imo, because markets do trend some of the time), you won't have a high roi. But that's...
