FormFactor, Inc. (Nasdaq: FORM ) - It's building a nice base

I don't see that as building a base... looks more like a weak stock in a channel... base lacks tightness

High-Speed Traders Should Bear Cost of Oversight

You guys don't think HFT may end up meaning "us"?

Howcome my shares are not sold although mine is cheaper?

Incorrect. Reg NMS stipulates that the NYSE route the order to NASDAQ (ISLAND? It's 2011!).

Why Does IB Still Not Offer ECN Pegged Orders?

This is standard at all brokers. If your TIF is not DAY but is EXT, you'll be unable to send a PEG order. It's this way on all the professional direct access trading platforms. So IB really charges .0013 to use a native NASDAQ peg order? That's just insane. Insane! So you guys can't get...

    Current Add/ Remove for NSDQBX

Same as normal... but if MPID doesn't add 25k shares/day looks like the rebate sucks and is .0005.

    short RIMM @ 41.2

Not trying to be a dick but when you posted that "call" the price was between 30 and 47 cents below your entry... not very useful to post a trade that you're already up $1500+ in.

    Hard stops are for turkeys

Ummmmmmmmmm........ In the example you gave, the stock(s) went down 30% in a very quick manner. Stops would have been great. Sure, depending on how far the stop was from the initial price prior to the whacky move, the worse the slippage would be. However, even if the slippage was 3 or 5%...

NYSE Openbook, NASDAQ Total View, Pedro Totally Confused...

I replied before to a similar thread. http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&postid=3051284&highlight=totalview#post3051284 What I said was: 1. Arcabook should contain more than top of book. Although NYSE owns Arca, they are separate exchanges with separate orderbooks...

"Earning the right to be aggressive" is BS, so is trading big on winning streaks

I have to respectfully disagree. You're forg+ iftting the psychological factor. It can be very mentally draining to not size down after a losing streak. Sure, you can screw yourself because it takes longer to make back the money, but it can also save your ass. On a winning streak, it's not...

What are the most popular high volume stocks for day trading?

Since when does it take an hour to make a penny in C? I trade C for a penny and my average holding time according to my prop reports is 1 minute 16 seconds.

Where does that thing Amanda Drury learn to speak English?

You guys clearly have never been to Singapore. English is the official language. In the three years I spent there, I couldn't understand the locals and their "English" once. They would have to talk to me like I'm a baby for me to understand, and even then it was barely comprehensible...

What are the most popular high volume stocks for day trading?

Not to get involved, but: comms are very, very cheap, and much lower than the rebates. In C if you "miss" a level, your slippage is a half a penny. And there are tricks to get filled more easily, ahead of line 0 darkpools, etc. As sarcastic as you are, it actually can be done.

    Time For a New Edge

So it's been almost a month since I started this journal and I've yet to make a single follow up post. I've been 50% focusing on trading C and grinding out the last of the free money. The other 50% of my energy (which will become 100% after May 6) has been on developing automated trading...

    Order Execution Speed

It's called a queue. First in first out, FIFO. Look it up. Limit orders, if crossing the market, will execute instantly. If posting to the book it goes to the back of the line at that price and takes as long as the market needs to trade all the contracts ahead of that price.
