Attention Non-US Residents: Teach Us The Error of Our Ways

I have said something similar...sans the "go to hell" part.

    Restricted Account

Madera, your restriction was due to a PDT violation, I presume. Brokers handle it differently - it's actually ambiguous. They usually will give you a warning the first time and tell you not to let it happen again (day trading with equity below 25K). If you violate the PDT rule again, they may...

Attention Non-US Residents: Teach Us The Error of Our Ways

I sincerely appreciate everyone's response, but the essence of my original post has been lost. I wanted NON-U.S. citizens to explain, with examples, how their economic system is superior to ours as well as their foreign policy. (To the "blame America first" crowd, I would question the poster's...

Attention Non-US Residents: Teach Us The Error of Our Ways

BSAM, I was requesting input with regards to economics as well.

Attention Non-US Residents: Teach Us The Error of Our Ways

As I have stated on previous posts, I look at ET more for amusement purposes rather than a site geared for the "intellectually curious" or coherent trading ideas - which I always thought was the purpose of this site to begin with. I, as an American, have noticed a disturbing trend... the site...

Income Tax Rates Under "Bill"... Remember?

As a side note, 100k/year is NOT a lot of money, like many democrats claim... maybe 20 years ago. I hit that mark as a young stockbroker and never considered myself rich. Here's a question for the board: did anyone ever consider that the real "greedy" people are the ones who sit around and...

Income Tax Rates Under "Bill"... Remember?

Yeah, but... Bush is stupid! Haliburton! Oil buddies... Bush lied people died... He's stealing the world's oil supply as we speak and storing it on his ranch in Crawford, while listening to our private conversations on our phone. (Did I leave out something)?

gnome, I don't know about you, but I have faith in the hope of tomorrow that together, we can bring about a change. That's my hope.

Income Tax Rates Under "Bill"... Remember?

Wait a minute, democrats believe in raising taxes on the "rich," not the average American. I remember when Clinton ran in '92, he said he wanted taxes raised on millionaires, then that number went down to 300k, then 100k, then, essentially if you paid taxes you got an increase in your tax...

    NTRI a steal under $20.

It's tough for a stock, once it breaks below 20 to get right back above 20. For example, CSCO in '06 was below 20 and kept inching up to it and then backing off... once it closed definitively above - it took off. Unless there's some dramatically positive news or it moves in sympathy with a...

    NTRI a steal under $20.

That stock is always on my radar. I had some awesome option trades on that in '06 when it made some dramatic swings.

Bernanke 2 years ago on housing bubble

They can't help, it, Infolode... it's their nature - makes them feel good about their own pathetic lives. I find it rather amusing to come on to this site periodically and read the anti-American rants. If only we could be like the rest of the world, we might just make something of ourselves...

President Hillary Clinton - Best for the Economy !!

Edgehunter, I understand your perspective as well. I will add this: I was a part of Desert Shield/Storm - hard to believe it was that long ago - and after it was over, we signed a "cease fire" with Iraq. Iraq had to abide by certain requirements - such as allowing UN weapons inspectors free...

President Hillary Clinton - Best for the Economy !!

Nevadan, the point a lot of us would make is that Germany was not under attack from Poland or France. We WERE attacked - like it or not and from the same type of enemy in 1993 and 2001 (plus at various other times throughout the world). We can choose to not take the terrorists seriously or...

President Hillary Clinton - Best for the Economy !!

Bush never "threatened" anyone. He essentially said that if you harbor terrorists you will be considered an enemy of the U.S. What kind of ally will allow terrorists to stay in their country and plan attacks against us? Anyway, I won't get into a further discussion about it because it's...

President Hillary Clinton - Best for the Economy !!

Joab, if planes were hijacked and crashed into the CN Tower by radical jihadists, what would have been Canada's response? To put together a committe to "study" the problem or perhaps take some action to prevent it from happening again? It's easy to sit back and judge when you're not directly...

President Hillary Clinton - Best for the Economy !!

If raising taxes on the "wealthy" is so good, why not put the top tax rate at 90%? Incidentally, Rubin was and is - a democrat. He's done a hell of a job for the Citigroup shareholders too (he's still a director). Liberals hate facts. One of the facts that has always confounded them is the...

President Hillary Clinton - Best for the Economy !!

The economy was recovering when Clinton took office: something overlooked by many. The stock market did not really start to take off until the republicans took control of Congress in '94. I've never understood why some people believe that if you "declare war" on business by raising taxes and...

what if your gf can't control her weight?

Everybody has their tourist horror story who lives in an area where there are an abundance of them. A girl I went out with a long time ago told me of one night where there were a bunch of Aussies loud and drunk in her restaurant who were yelling about how they hate Americans. I'm used to...

what if your gf can't control her weight?

Alex, I live about 1/2 hour North of Orlando. I can say the same thing about the Aussies, Canucks, Brits, Germans, etc... Unfortunately, those seem to be the majority of international travelers. I can spot a foreign tourist a mile away.
