    moved!!!

All depends what you trade. If equities, the Bright office there was excellent when I was there about three years ago. Dale Pitt is the manager, and a great guy. If futures, I know there is a Green Tree office in SF. Not sure if any of them are making money though. Jay

How relevant is market depth in e-minis

i think it is very relevant around supp/ resis and when a market is movng well. If depth FOLLOWS a move, it definitely adds to my confidence in the move. Jay

Bush is the Defender of U.S. Integrity

Although I rarely get involved in this thread, just thought I had to post here. The latest TIME mag has a great article that states how Bush totally polarizes the nation. You either love him or hate him. I find this is absolutely true on this thread. Personally, I'm independent and don't love...

    Worst order-entry error you've made

I mistakenly switch buy and sell orders all the time using IB. Tried Ninja Trader and did it there also, so I guess its not the platform. Worst ever? Sold 10 full sized yen contracts in late '97, and then left for the wekend thinking I was long. That mistake blew me out for the second time...

    Coffee, Trading and You

I think its only a detriment if you get a bit over wired. Combined with the high that a position creates anyway, I think it can lead to brain lock if over done. Personally. I have one or two cups each day, then switch to decaf. Jay

    Monitors and vision problems

Anyone else having vision problems form staring at monitors too much? I have recently had some pretty scary vision obstruction, and I'm almost certain its from gawking at my monitors 10 hours a day. Specifically, it seems as though I have looked at something bright and then looked away when ever...

Will we see an exodus of traders into Futures ?

What on Earth would lead you make such a statement? How is it any different from trading stocks? Leverage? Yes, but you don't have to use it. I have traded both, for myself and professionally, and futures as a whole are no easier or harder than stock trading. I prefer trading futures as there...

    Tradable days next week

I disagree. I think holiday markets are great sometimes. The thin volume can lead to big volatility. I like that. I will be trading Weds and Fri. Jay

    bond futures

Also, You can scale in or out with multiple contracts. Personally, I find trading 1 contract very difficult. Do I keep it or cover? This is assuming one vs 5 contracts. If you have big bucks, then this is a moot point. Jay

how do traders in the US trade the european markets?

All depends what you are trading. IB charges for some exchanges. $12 for Eurex (prolly 12 EUR), I can never remember since its such a plaltry sum. Most US electronic exchanges are free (globex, ACE). You can use third party tech analysis with IB for free or nearly so. You get what you pay for...

how do traders in the US trade the european markets?

Its now 3:36 AM, and yes, I'm sucking down coffee - decaf! I, like most people here, use IB (Interactive Brokers) for international trading. They are set up to offer access to almost all international electronic exchanges. Jay

    Living room enthusiasts-semi-pro tools

The tech analysis is very weak. Have you looked at other programs? With Esignal you have to mess with formulas for even basic customization of many studies. Weak, weak, weak. Data feed is very good though. And it is cheap. Jay

how do traders in the US trade the european markets?

West coast time here. I trade euro open for a few hours, midnight to 2:00 or so. Get back up at 5:00 to trade bonds and euro fx futures. Start trading ES at after it opens. I'm usually only watching 2 things at any given time. For example: 12:00 - 2:00 Eurostoxx 50, and Euro or Yen...

buying a second home in the USA

No there isn't! Anyone can buy a house here. Real estate is considered personal property like anything else. The problem you will have is: 1) obtaining a loan, 2) multiple entry visa. Jay
