    China's future.

If they let CAPITALISM LEAD THE WAY, they will be the dominant economic power in the future...no doubt. Think of China as a young emerging country like the U.S. used to be...population growth...consumption...rapid middle class developing, etc.. Of course there will be problems along the...

Is it me or grains are dead right now?

It sounds like a long term bear market...traders have lost interest. If prices start spiking up, traders will come back...until then? My opinion...this is what bear market bottoms look like, I'm long agriculture for the long term...world population still growing and need food...less farmers too...

TLT--the long ride might be over

Part of it is a disagreement between deflationists and inflationists at the same time...this is a very confusing world economy, so many investors are preparing for either scenario. I'm sure who've heard of stagflation haven't you? I see this as a likely outcome at some point, but if we enter a...

TLT--the long ride might be over

I never did like "FOLLOWERS" very much.:D It's been said that when prices get near bubble territory it's called "follow the leader", but when prices ARE in bubble territory it's called "follow the follower"!:vomit::wtf:

TLT--the long ride might be over

Of course this is a trading site, a trading site with investment discussions as well...this thread is about the "LONG RIDE" of TLT. I trade futures (30 yr.) every day, but hold investments as well...precious metals and agricultural commodities. I'd rather own the metals than hold treasuries...

TLT--the long ride might be over

So...you're saying treasuries are a good bet for the short term...what about the longer term (1-5 yrs.)? Personally, I think treasuries are dangerous in the long run...too much debt =dollar crisis!

What We as Traders Can Learn from Donald Trump’s Campaign

Donald does't care about FEELINGS, he only cares about RESULTS! Could you imagine if traders put their FEELINGS first and RESULTS second...DISASTER! This is what his campaign has taught me about trading.:sneaky:

Is Day Trading Inferior to Swing Trading?

Why are some people good at gardens and bricks and others not so good? Is it art or science? Is it a discipline thing or lack of edge? Did he use charts or brick flow to determine best/worst angle of direction? Did he finish out in one day or did he hold overnight? This land designing is so...

Is Day Trading Inferior to Swing Trading?

For me, day trading is least risky...I have way more control over risk and profit. I don't want any surprises with news...I trade my plan with a degree of certainty I'm comfortable with. Swing trading drives me nuts...always unexpected news to deal with...can't stand the GAPS either!

Why is trading easy for some and hard for others?

M1NT....just to respond to your observation about left brain analytical/intelligent professional types failing at trading/investing. I believe they have the tools to be successful at trading...but I also believe they need to consume themselves into trading just as much as their profession to...

Why is trading easy for some and hard for others?

Good points. As far as luck with my dad's success, I would say the great bull run would be the only part I would consider lucky (a big lucky). The rest not so much. Here's why. I remember his words in 1984 about why I need to buy particular mutual funds and HOLD no matter what for 50 years to...

    What is the big picture?

Just keep trading small until you find out what you need to know. When you do find your epiphanies, they will be much different than the one's I discovered, and maybe even better! Stay obsessed and keep trading small...it sounds like your're on your way...but no one knows how long it will...

What's the single thing you've done that's improved your results?

Great book...and great job...but have a plan in mind for the next bear market. The Graham method of stock picking will hold up well in comparison to other methods, but there will be losses if the market decline is severe enough. Just know if you will hold through it or have an exit plan...either...
