Bronks, you may find value in this or maybe not. I like to have some idea of what may happen in the next session. Like support and resistance and buy and sell levels. Marty Schwartz, author of "Pit Bull" and very successful S&P trader says he has made millions (yes millions) by buying the dips...

    Tiki As A System

I think this guy trades based on the "TIKI" and the "PREM". They say it's more reliable for spotting the programs. I wouldn't know but I have heard from some guys I trust that his trade style works. Too complicated for me. I am not affiliated in any way with any money making venture including...

    E-mini Rookie Trading Journal

Bronks, big gaps often turn into trend days. Check LBR's site out and see what she has to say about trend days. Also Google will be giving a class for trading on trend days and posting her material at www.dacharts.com. And heck you didn't lose money today. Be happy! :) ~EC

Any good info or just a waste of time

I picked it up for $29.95 when I was starting trading. It is a poorly written booklet. The one thing I got from it was this: Don't follow a system that purports to teach you how to beat the specialists and market makers. You can't do it. Period. Try to identify what the big boys are doing...

    E-mini Rookie Trading Journal

I think the "rule" is that small gaps are filled... gaps of 20 ES points or so indicate a trend day is likely. Or so I've read. ~EC

    E-mini Rookie Trading Journal

If it sounds easy to you I have done you a disservice. It is simple... yes... but anything other than easy. I have never been able to MOC on a big gap day. I usually out smart the market and enter a short right before it continues upward. And I know better! ~EC

    E-mini Rookie Trading Journal

Bronks, regarding big gap days: Most experienced traders will tell you that they usually continue in the direction of the gap. Pick an entry, set a stop (and keep moving it up) , and ride the trend until you are stopped out by lower prices. None of the indicators work worth a damn on trending...

    Trading by Time of Day?

Other than those who use Murray Math are there traders here who weigh time of day more heavily than price levels or patterns? For me it seems like a head and shoulders reversal set-up works more reliably at about 10:00 AM EST than say 1:45. Any thoughts or experiences on this that anyone can...

"hopefully along with some kinda wedgie formation." I'm not sure if you picked this strategy up in the room you mentioned or not , but, if so think about a training room where they are "fairly" specific about strategies. Good Luck ~EC

    Bollinger Bands

"so that's your homework"... I've been doing it and have made a few bucks at the same time. The BB pattern I'm having the best results with is the volitility breakout/breakdown. It' s hard to tell the headfakes at times but once price commits above or below it seems to work. Has anyone bought...

    Bollinger Bands

Are many of you e-mini traders here using BB as your main indicator? If so are you trying to sell the upper band and buy the lower one or do you employee it in more sophisticated setups? Thanks, ~EC

The put up just shut up?

It has been called the "Plunge Protection Squad". They operate in several phases: 1) Notify all members of the "Club" that action is impending. 2) Wait an agreed upon period of time to allow "Club" members to cover substantial short positions. 3) Provide "Free" funds to members to...
