i just saw it drop 25 quick pips... gbp/usd. i'm short eur/usd at 1.1977 i was going to short gbp/usd but the spread jumped to 10! during the volatility... on oanda. just wanted a quick momentum trade. i'm out of all yen plays at the moment.

my only short term concern is the usd strength over eur and gbp right now- helping the usd/jpy bounce up from the low 117.60 area. i might lock in some profits and wait for the next entry point to short. hope we don't see any "snap-back" action back to 118.00

don't get drawn in too far about the things mentioned on 4cast... sort it out carefully, it is a fun read though! like an inside scoop on things... you're halfway there with usd/jpy under 117.80 now, might drop to 117 soon. nikkei dropped pretty big, yen has been going up on nikkei...

hey 2, they're talking about options again- this time 118 of course! the 4cast thing is wrong about 1/2 the time so.... but they are a good contrary indicator! and if there are players at 118, any drop could be amplified into another mini-plunge to 117.60, otherwise expect lackluster...

if you notice, oil was first to retreat and lead the yen higher and gold lower. that's when i shorted the eur/jpy, but the gbp/jpy is just good, if not better!
