    Show off your charting software

I also heard that white's supposed to be better, but find that something that's not completely white seems better for the eyes. Still experimenting...

Is Day Trading Inferior to Swing Trading?

Huge profit potential. Sounds like a good idea if you're not successfull day trading, but successful swing trading.

What are the most important things for Technical Analysis?

The most important thing in technical analysis as in all other things is to know what you're doing and doing it well. :)

    Slickest Looking Trading Platform

Slightly off-topic, but I've been looking into how I can make charts the most friendly for my eyes recently. I stumbled upon some research saying that lighter colors actually are better than black. In fact, I think contrast was what was seemingly most vital. I.e., if you're in a light room, a...

    Slickest Looking Trading Platform

Most are very customizable, so it's really up to you. For now, NinjaTrader seems to suit my purposes just fine.

    Access to unlimited historical data

By the way - which book is it? Can't seem to recall this guy. I think I got only the two first, which I liked a lot. Never bothered to get the third and the fourth. Worth reading?

    Access to unlimited historical data

Having 'unlimited' historical data is meaningless in and of itself. You need to know what to do with the data.

    My one month trading experience.

    1. Backtesting is worthless if you don't forward test your methodology in simulator mode and confirm your system. Only after that is done, you can go live. 2. Trade something liquid and slippage won't be (much of) an issue. 3. Don't be discretionary.

What's the single thing you've done that's improved your results?

I think you're onto something here. Rest assured, there's plenty of losers trying to act like gurus on this board.

What are the must read books on day trading?

Completely disagree. In fact, most would be traders start trading too soon and blow up multiple accounts. Because that's what happens when you're thrown into the real world of trading; you blow up. Also, you may not learn that much in the end just by sitting in front of a screen and watching...

What are the must read books on day trading?

Which? The one you mentioned and possibly New Trading Systems and Methods would probably be my recommendation.

    E-mini book by Scheier

@ubermenschtrader Why is using a 1 minute chart the worst thing you can do? It's my main chart.

The longer it ranges the harder it trends

I was being cheeky. I know that for the ES intraday, you'll quite often have so called fake breakouts. It's just as common, if not more common, than a real breakout that "trends". ES typically don't trend that much. It mostly oscillates. Up and down. Maybe his comment is true with regards to...

As a rule? Do you have any hard data on this? : )

Is there a trading platform that supports time of day analysis?

Interesting, but not surprising, that people start preaching and answering everything else than what you asked. I know that Linnsoft Investor RT may have some possibillities for doing statistical analysis, but I have no experience using it self. Check it out. If not, this should be rather easy...

    Emini Trading Rooms

Waste of time. Could give a newbie some ideas. Could. But I certainly hope people ain't basing their trading decisions on stuff that happens in trading room, although I know 'people' most likely do.

Focusing on swing trading the same 2-3 stocks

When swing trading, which I've pretty much always done successfully, I always focused on what I perceived to be the best opportunity at the time. The last time, that was an oil stock which I correctly perceived to be undervalued at the time. But yes, it might very well be that what you're...
