    ES HAS TOPPED

What's your rationale for this? Personally, I think you're wrong and that we'll see new highs soon. :)

Why Is The Obvious Not So Obvious?

It's probably due to habit and having always used candles, but bar charts are very awkward to me and I feel I'm not 'seeing' as much using them. That's why I thought the 'self-evident' comment from Vindago was interesting. Because it's not to me at the moment. :)

Why Is The Obvious Not So Obvious?

It's certainly not self evident to me. I use candles. Could you explain this rationally? The one advantage I can see with bar charts is that they take up less space such that you might fit more bars into your charts, but if you compress your charts that way you end up loosing detail. So, I...

Why Is The Obvious Not So Obvious?

Respectfully, that's your opinion only. Personally, I believe you can do both, that is predict and react. In isolation, I think both are futile. Even if you're a so called price action trader who only trades support and resistance, you are predicting or anticipating or whatever you want to...

Why Is The Obvious Not So Obvious?

Mr Scalper, Some would argue that the exact same reasons you just laid out is the reason why a given market is more predictable than a less liquid one... Having followed the ES for a long while now I certainly know there are patterns that repeat themselves and that this market has its...

Why Is The Obvious Not So Obvious?

Assuming day trading - why do you feel the ES is harder to trade than stocks or any other instrument? I've heard this said before, but it's not logical to me. A hard instrument to trade for me would be one that doesn't move.

    ES Journal - 2017/2018

Is the HOD in for today? I think not.

    ES Journal - 2017/2018

Might be seeing an inside day considering yesterday's huge range.

    ES Journal - 2017/2018

If I were to guess, I'd say yesterdays RTH low will hold for today and that we'll most likely end up positive today (30th of June).

    ES Journal - 2017/2018

Not a call, but there's an open gap at 2408. :)

    ES Journal - 2017/2018

The current RTH range at 26,75 is above what's normal lately, so I would be cautious with a short here unless you have a rationale for a sell-off at this point. Also, it's rare for moves of a certain magnitude to not retrace.

    ES Journal - 2017/2018

That's what I was thinking, but if today, it needs to happen soon. Might be that the LOD/HOD is in for today.

Back up towards 2450 today, yes?

    snore..ZZZZZZ.... another sleeper for S&P

Actually, the range was 13 points. And like I wrote the last time in a similar thread where you also complained about the market action - yesterday was just another day in the ES. It seems like you don't know the instrument you're trading and you're complaining that it doesn't do what you...

YUKK!!! what a crappy day for ES

Seems like you guys are getting 'tick fucked' and are too focused on the price action and being surprised by what happens on a given trading day. What happened today in the ES has happened a thousand times before with some variation, so no reason to be suprised. The range was actually...

YUKK!!! what a crappy day for ES

Seems fairly normal to me. Plenty of 10 point ranges lately, yes?

    ES Journal - 2017/2018

    2435 or more today, yes?

    ARGHH! bad day

My comment was neutral and factual, although I can understand that you perceived it to be negative. It was meant to be helpful. I don't see why I would support and cheer on people to continue losing money or hope that things will change when they won't. That would be a cruel thing to do. You...
