    Kant & Popper (Philosophy)

Maybe it was because Popper was one of the first using black swans in his theory :D

    ES Journal - 2021/2022

I agree somewhat with your reasoning, but how do you see this on a chart (before the fact)?

Most Influential stop pumpers on Twitter and elsewhere?

I was ofcourse joking, but looked it up: a gallardo (I think this is a relative cheap one) will cost you 500 for half day, 800 a day (euro’s)

Most Influential stop pumpers on Twitter and elsewhere?

I just started a business for educational and training on how to become a successful influencer. Yesterday I tried to rent a lambo for a video, but there was a very long waiting-list

For all you eager to get into programming

You are right about the internships. Netherlands / Germany (or western-Europe) probably have the same structures. Good move into the US internship. Personally I never bought in the work for free internships, but looking back it probably would have ‘paid-off’. But if you work in IT or data...

For all you eager to get into programming

This is not representative for reality. Certainly not in ‘descending’ Europe, at least

Do you tend to wait for counter trend movements to enter a position?

Can’t remember the exact test duration, but probably from 2021 and then 10 or 5 years back. I tested x in range -1% to let’s say -30%, in steps of 1%. But entering just each week was best (simple option combinations as ‘investment vehicles’ for long entry proxies). So best x was 0% :)

Do you tend to wait for counter trend movements to enter a position?

A time ago I tested on spy/spx if it would be more profitable to enter a position on x% drawdown from ath rather then just entering for example each week. The latter proved more profitable with better statistics. The reason was that a good part of the trend was missed by not being in the market...

A retired stockbroker tells me why most retail investors lose money

Easy and popular thing to say, but I think it has to do more with the lizard brain takes it over. A lot of wise and smart people make dumb decisions from time to time, it is not easy to be always on guard and never use generalizations (using generalizations makes life easier but some cases will...

Pictures of Inflation (do not post German inflation)

you guys are lucky (and awake/alerted) to have such cheap coffee, here in Europe a cup costs around 3.5 dollar. I do think food inflated also over time to fill it by more water or air (meat or bags of chips), so you feel to get more

Russia says cannot guarantee resume of gas pipeline flow to Germany

I found a nice discount for you: https://www.aldi-nord.de/sortiment/haushalt/papierprodukte/toilettenpapier-2767-0-0.article.html Butt maybe they reduced the “Blatter” per roll to ‘hide’ the inflation :(

    Trading volatility (VIX & Co)

You could try vxx. It wil not mimic vix 100% since it’s value is based on the front and next month options (30 day rolling), and ultimately by supply/demand which was visible a few months ago

    Is trading easy?

Just a random comment here; I think your common trait to constantly wanting to improve things can sometimes hinder exploiting your already working strategy(s). So when you trade your strategy for a while you will become automatically bored and search for other methods, or search for ways to...

Natural Gas Soars 700%, Becoming Driving Force in the New Cold War

TTF exploded indeed, and gas prices are part of industrial structure which is affected. For the average civilian I can say the energy bill roughly somewhat less then doubled. The gas price is a smaller part of the total energy bill so the price increase is dampened. Also tax energy is lowered...

Reverse Martingale - two winners in a row

I liked your previous post, very good 'summary' of the goals of a trader or investor. I personally devoted the last 2 years to reducing sd only. For fun I put the strategy above in my test-lab and indeed, var up. Had not expected this at first and had to think about it, but it probably is due...

Reverse Martingale - two winners in a row

Normally P(trade 1)=win is independent of P(trade 2)= win. { or EV(1) = EV(2)}. Or is this not the case?
