    The giant player doesnt need to push the market from start to end of vix raise, it just needs to create the abnormal starting force then a lot of programming trend following trading system would follow.

    IB let you short UVXY for sure, I already show the rate. I think people buy/sell vix etf for these reasons: 1. vix future is damn expensive, people can play with VXX/UVXY with much less money 2. buy/sell price bid range is wider for vix future, bad for day trade 3. you can long/short vxx/uvxy...
