    stock screener

Stockfetcher example: "Show stocks where the weekly CCI (14) crossed above 100" They use a natural language syntax so even your mom can use it.

    stock screener

stockcharts.com stockfetcher.com I've used both and they're both good. I liked stockfetcher better technically, plus it's an incredible value for $8.95/month. The thinkorswim platform might be able to do it. They have a custom scripting capability for stock scans.

Help Need Calculating Expectancy and R:R

MAE and MFE are very important. If you have a technical signal that you think has an edge, an MAE/MFE analysis can tell you where to place your SL and TP. In other words, you'd analyze price movement after your signal with no SL and TP (or at least very wide). You may find that after your...

How Liquid are SPY options, and options in general in comparison to securities?

SPY options are super liquid, so liquid that you can day trade them. Instant fills, narrow bid/ask especially if you only use the 2 weeks closest to expiry.

Interactive Brokers just removed $100,000+ from my account

Psychologically people are more likely to complain than praise on a message board. Therefore complaints will be over-represented in total postings about IB or any other broker. Also, complaining takes little or no effort. Changing brokers is a major inconvenience and is much less likely.

Retrieving information from a laptop with a bad monitor

All the laptops I've worked on are HP. These have a little hatch on the bottom of the case that's easily opened with a Phillips screwdriver. The hard drive sits in the well under the hatch and can be lifted free and disconnected by just unplugging. If the laptop is old enough it may not be SATA.

Retrieving information from a laptop with a bad monitor

Get one of these: http://a.co/i3MasPa I have one and they're the best thing since sliced bread. Just pull out the drive and plug it into this USB adapter cable. I've used it for both normal platter hard drives and also SSD.

    Option strategies

There is some risk involved: once the market closes you can't do anything with your positions. So say the market closes on the last day of trading for an iron condor and the underlying is just above the lower short. You're safe right? Not really. Say a major earthquake strikes or a war breaks...
