Government running out of money. Sell your house now, or anything gov't supports!

A government that controls the printing presses will never run out of money.

The 401(k) Grab is no longer just a rumor

Get your facts straight - yes, he was a community organizer, but not as altruistic as most think. He was also in bed with the largest real estate developers of Illinois. You know why? As a community organizer, he was able to assist developers with the gentrification of communities in...

Volcker rule unlikely to move forward in Senate, lawmakers say

Oh really? How convenient of you to have found out about the Constitution. If we really abided by the genius of the founding fathers, there wouldn't be any prop desks left... their banks would have gone under. Spare me your flag waving.

George Soros warns gold is now the 'ultimate bubble'

Gold's on a tear today. Maybe Soros is following his own advice?

    Is the UK finished?

I was not referring to BNOC, but to production in general. PM Thatcher did push for greater private sector involvement in North Sea Oil which, in my view, boosted production. You can't ignore North Sea Oil's effects on Britains balance of payments, interest rates, and effect on the pound...

    It's all Greek to me

That's the Aegean Sea - yes, it's very windy. The Ionian Sea and Islands are very different - not as windy, have a mild rainy winter so are green year-round. Decent size cities on Corfu and Kefalonia too.

    It's all Greek to me

Hey, don't underestimate Greece in WWII. They had one of the first meaningful allied victories. They refused to surrender to the Italians, who had an overwhelming military compared to the Greeks. And when the Italians invaded, the Greeks not only stopped them, but pushed the Italian army...

    Is the UK finished?

What do they do? Outside of the North Sea and their now crippled financial sector..... what do they got? The US dollar can slide, but the US still has natural resources, manufacturing, Hollywood, agriculture, etc.... Remember the UK before the global credit bubble and before Lady...

    Is the UK finished?

The UK's been finished for a long time now. The only thing keeping it financially afloat these past few decades was the banking sector that rode the global credit bubble (now popped) and North Sea Oil (now in decline). Maybe they can get a Spice Girls reunion world tour to pay some bills...

It is now time to SELL SELL SELL your GLD (GOLD)!!!!

We use terms such as "printing presses" and "helicopter" in describing monetary policy, but I take issue with those representations of fighting deflation. A Helicopter and a printing press are tangible machines that are slow to start and have limits. No... money creation by the Fed is a...

Oil bigs to Obama: Get real

Here's the problem: Do you really think that alternative energy could replace oil via the free market? I agree that the current internal cumbustion engine/gasoline powered system evolved first, and then planners got involved and took it to the next level. But here's the issue with just...

It is now time to SELL SELL SELL your GLD (GOLD)!!!!

The period that shows the least volume/price movement coincides with the rise of the FIRE economy. FIRE, of course, stands for Finance, Insurance, and Real Estate. Is was debt driven, ever increasing asset valuations that propelled (artificial) economic growth. That era is OVER. The...

I live in New Jersey. We Lose A LOT to the Federal Gov't siphon. According to that chart - almost 40%!!! As a result, our property taxes are amongst the highest in the nation. Granted, a lot of that goes to NJ corruption. But you know what? It's still my money and yes, I'm pissed off...
