Does IB show "extra" data in option time and sales? This being a tag with the exact type of trade, eg, MLET (Multiple Leg Electronic Trade).

Limelight Holdings LLC Announces Record Full-Year Results-Proposed Name Change from Lime Brokerage

I will leave it. If you want to slam a company that's fine, certainly your right. But if you don't back it up with any reasons it becomes a worthless statement and not helpful to this forum at all.

Moron . Naked put options otm Friday. BUT stock price went down after hours...interactive brokers

At the close Friday, the expiring TSLA 410 puts were 3 bid and they were more then 8 points out of the money. There was no cheap covering of expiring options in this stock on Friday.

    Clarification on Assignment / Exercising

The expiring 410 puts were 3 bid on the close even though the stock was trading 418, so something must have been expected.

    Clarification on Assignment / Exercising

Assuming "XYZ" stock is Tesla. If that's the case, the stock officially closed at 418.32, but traded around the 390 level after hours. This would mean his long 405 put would expire worthless based on the closing price (unless he told IB to exercise). His short put could be exercised by the...

Ahh, ok. That makes more sense.

    Option assignment question.

If you are the seller of a put option and you are assigned, you get stock, you don't get short stock. The holder of the put who exercised gets the short stock.

Small £2500 Accounts Early assignment and margin call

Your capital has nothing to do with the assignment. If you are assigned on a short call, you will get short stock. If you don't have enough capital to hold the position, you get a margin call. If we are talking about an early exercise, as others have said, you have your long call to protect...

Small £2500 Accounts Early assignment and margin call

First, it is rare that a call would be exercised early except in limited circumstances (upcoming dividend or a hard to borrow stock). If you are assigned early on a naked call, it becomes a margin issue, not a risk issue. If you are assigned early on a short call, you then become short...

Yes, but they do have a higher minimum equity requirement than other brokers. https://dashprime.com/

Brokerage Firms With Personalized (human!) Customer Service?

I was going to mention Lightspeed, but Bob beat me to it. Good indication of the service you would get with him. My firm, Dash Prime, is that way as well. Deal with one person, phone or email answered immediately. Also the execution software company you are dealing with is important as well...

    Short Trade Bankruptcy

A lot of different answers here. Generally a good thing, but there are risks. If the stock isn't trading and hasn't been cancelled you are at risk of continuing to pay for the short stock. Good article here...

Risk of assignment before expiration due to dividend

A Long call is synthetically equal to long stock and long put (of the same strike). This is why the price of the put matters. So If I am long the 8/21 128 call, if I exercise it and buy the put, I would synthetically have the same position as before, a long call (there is also some cost of...

Risk of assignment before expiration due to dividend

A few things, As of right now with TGT trading 136.45, your spread is worth about 1.60, which means if you enter an order to sell it now you will probably get no lower then 1.55. Right now your short leg is not at risk of assignment. The 128 put is trading about 1.25. As long as this put is...

Direct access brokers - Lightspeed, Cobra, Centerpoint....

Bob, when TD allows you to direct an order to a specific exchange, would you consider this direct access, or does it still flow through their order purchasers first?

Direct access brokers - Lightspeed, Cobra, Centerpoint....

Hate to put up any of Robert Morse's competition, but Dash Financial. Also I would think its not just the introducing broker, but the trading software you use. I know TD allows you to direct option orders to some (not all) of the exchanges.

What is your opinion about a broker which turns marginable stocks into non-marginable stock?

I think they all will do it from time to time. I have a PM account and my broker will sometimes switch a stock to Reg T so I will no longer get PM benefits. Just happened to Kodak. I think its just a way for the broker to manage risk. I agree that some brokers may be more aggressive then...
