Rumor: Bright Trader blows up and loses millions

If you make a couple of hundred and lose that huge amount then you become crazy. But if you make the same level of that amount then there's nothing to become uncontrollable. Your brain will somehow adjust to the situation.

A large US bank will collapse within few months

"That view neglects the point that the financial system has become very bloated in size and needed to shrink," Rogoff told the conference in Singapore. The above statement from the article does tell that isn't the end of the world. The correction is needed to get back to the healthy level...

Not trying to convince anyone but it's quite interesting though... GE was trading within a short-range reaching the first resistance of $29.94 ($30.05) with MoE ± 0.37%; while NT was trading within a long-range reaching the second resistance of $6.33 ($6.35) with MoE ± 0.32%. Maybe...

Up 20% YTD, is that good?

It's relative to your possible drawdown. If it's very small then excellent accomplishment.

Zero for MBI? You must be kidding or I might miss something here. Applying the fundamental abstraction, the price run-up recently wasn't convinced anyone that it was purely a short squeeze.

GE is on track with MoE ± 0.13%, the high ended at $29.89 instead of $29.93. While NT got a bit off track with MoE ± 0.98%, the high ended at $6.18 instead of $6.12. Based on the today's prices (HLC), we can estimate, if no major news happens, for tomorrow Friday August 15, the trading...

    Susanna: right or wrong?

She acted somehow as ET members are like kids whom couldn't make their own good judgment on what is right or wrong, spam or non-spam. She thought that by keeping Puretick on ET then some of its members will be misled by Puretick. We are all mature who could be able to make own judgment, right.

Since the last spike dated on June 12, 2008; MBI has soared 100%. While WB (2008/07/22) and WM (2008/07/15) have gave up gain. FRE and FNM, no spike has been spotted.

I will provide the update on NT and GE and the end of day. No guarantee about the formula, it's up to someone to test it with several data and validate it; maybe profit from it. But remember, this is for a stable stock and no major news for that trading day. Normal quiet trading day, right.

Many years ago, I found this formula from Forbes.com to predict the next day's support and resistance of a stock price using previous day (High, Low, Close). By the way, I never watched it closely, nor confirmed its credibility. It's good if somebody have a watch on it and give some feedback...

POLL: Are Fibonacci numbers a worthless or expensive crutch when it comes to trading?

Forget those complex E. Wave, Fib, etc. Back to basic, what Nicolas Darvas had found is still true. The attractive stocks continue to have the same characteristic. If a tempestuous beauty were to jump on a table and do a wild dance, no one would be particularly astonished. That is the sort of...

Have you ever introduced yourself as an speculaor?

When you tried to avoid the subject, they still wanted to push a bit far. The best thing was to shut them up by making them feel that it wasn't appropriate for them to speak or behave like that.

Why does no one here give detailed trading advice?

All right, folks, stop wasting your time; the unresponsive attitude of the OP does show a lack of respect, collaboration and willing to really succeed in this business. No school will teach to only learn the questions for the exam if then the student will learn nothing. They have to teach...

Why does no one here give detailed trading advice?

To the OP: What can this site give you more? I think it's more than enough. You're better off expecting for somebody to give you some technique for fishing rather than give you the fish.
