    Spike up in futures

Perhaps we'll see ES 50% retrace to 1130 (between top and 50 day MA). Chinook

Cutten, good observation. Just before the top, especially NQ made a parabolic move. Chinook

NQ/ES and Stocks: which move first?

Just a clarification, I'm not comparing ES/NQ to their cash indices but directly to the underlying stocks. Chinook

NQ/ES and Stocks: which move first?

I consistently see that jump in the price levels come in ES/NQ and then 1-3 seconds later in the underlying stocks. I have Tradestation and use some calculation intensive indicators. I can think of four possibilities. 1) What I see is real 2) This is due to Tradestations datafeed (filter's...

    E-Trade robbed me!

I did it online. These are employee stock options. He said they charge $0.10/share (under 1000 shares) for option exercises!!!! So you pay $99 for 990 shares! Chinook

    E-Trade robbed me!

I had to exercise soon-to-be-expiring ex-company stock options. E-Trade charged me $77 commission for 770 shares + $10 for sending the money by check! Ouch!!!! I'm very glad to have my trading account with IB!!!! Chinook

    IB Book Trader

Pete, OK. I understood your question first time. By default, for order 3), the stop limit price can be set to 4 ticks below the trigger price. But also in the Book Trader shortcuts menu, we should be able to fully customize the trigger and stop limit prices. Thanks again, Chinook

Pete, I'm not very clear about your question. For the stop-limit part, can't you guys make both the stop trigger price and the limit price user selectable? Thanks, Chinook

    IB Book Trader

Once your bracket order is pending, you can modify it from the pending page in TWS. The configuration menu is kind of weird. I went through the same thing. Anyway, to change the target, you have to put your target in the "Auto Limit" box in \Configure Hotkey\Customize window. I'm not...

\ Vikana, Are you using the bracket order type? If you do , did you figure out a way to send protective stop-limit orders to Globex as a part of the bracket order? The default is set to stp order and I couldn't find a way to change it. Thanks, Chinook

    IB´s Book Trader

For a bracket order, the stop and target orders can be modified from the pending page. The changes get reflected in the book trader. Chinook

This tool is great!!!! I'm trying to figure out if we can modify the stop and target offsets for a bracket order once we send them. Also, using the demo, the stop order is sent as a "stop" order to GLOBEX. Is there a way to modify it to a stop-limit order? Thanks, Chinook

Today's open for SPX (3/22)--quote problem?

Thanks for the explanation. I checked Yahoo and it's showing SPX open at 1,103.62 about 6 points lower than TS. However, TS open for Nasdaq Comp. is in line with Yahoo. Chinook

Today's open for SPX (3/22)--quote problem?

According to my Tradestation quote, daily SPX data is not showing the gap down this morning. SPX opened at 1109.78-- almost at Friday's close and then slipped down fast. But ES opened about 6 points down (931 am EST)with respect to 4pm EST Friday's close. I'm wondering what other vendors are...

    Tradestation 8.0 - what a disapointment

MichaelD, Thanks for your detailed explanation. I have seen great improvements in latency since last summer. I don't have any latency problems anymore. However, there still seems to be some problems with occasional freezing especially with NQ/ES charts. I'm in touch with technical support...
