bought the samsung 171 V based on some rec here it was a real steal at the time $ 400 after taxes and rebate but within 2 weeks I saw a thin streak 2 inches long diag on the lower part of my LCD screen and I know I did not cause that so I was able to return it for a complete refund...

as my acct never did the MTM treatment for me but I do go flat at the end of the yr ... and trade actively and my acct did deduct for me more than 3 K in losses one yr because of my trader status with IRS what really gets me upset is hearing that some people actively trade in...

although I always am afriad of that type of thing LOL

I would stick to a known and reputable firm whose accts are secure ... gaincapital !!!

but the hours of trading will be abbrev. for those of you who need to hedge or are addicted to trading !:)

split their time between the two ? on the floor for the open and 1st hour or so then upstairs for a few hours ... then back down to the floor for the last hour or so and the close ?

I think the market profile people have an automated system based on their methods called cap flow 32 it seems you need to subscribe to ensign or maybe another service to get the data ...

Just curious if anyone else from elite might be attending the expo in nyc feb 27th - march 3rd? of course I know some reps of companies might show up but I was curious about active traders who post here? It will be interesting to see how many expo attendees there are this yr ...

and sometimes have discounted programs for traders there is also another female good coach out there "robin dayne" ps ... the woman with the softest hands is Adrienne based on handshake only ! :)

But ... the start small idea and sitting next to good traders stuff only started towards end of the bull market when I was there ( 1997 ) the best traders sat in their own prop room. towards the end of my stay there , they did put everyone in a big room and start to stress starting out...

I read in futures mag a few months ago about traders doing arb between the open outcry big SP500 and the e mini sp500 ... has not competition slowed down the amount of money those arb teams can make? sheesh ... they must be quick to the draw !
