just placed 1 trade today at 3.50 and made .04 on 1k shs. i had my cousin in town and didn't trade. but wanted to show him my system so i placed a short at the end of the day and of course my system froze for the first time. i was like wtf.

This is exactly it. Too much tick data, now every tick is being displayed under the hybrid market. If I know it, Esignal knows it and I no nothing about tech.:D

I did a search and read a few posts. Generally good comments on them. I was wondering if anyone is trading with them right now and can tell me about the stability of the trading platform (X-Trader) and customer service. Any info would be helpful. Thxs

SEC fees - yes ARCA fees - no. There are some bucket shops that mark up ECN fees.

This is not new information. I already heard this news on my squak boxs this afternoon. They said a huge hedge fund has a margin call that needs to be meet in the next 24hrs. I do think there will be a nice bounce in the near future, may be tomorrow. I'll be looking out for it.

I trade equities as well, but I have also been looking into trading futures myself. The above are good questions. I'll leave them to someone that has experience trading futures. Anyone????

Since you are already familiar with equities, your trading software, etc...Why don't you just start trading SPY's or QQQQ's just to get your feet wet and test your system. When you feel comfortable you can open a Futures account.
