... and "commando back" aka whipsaw. I'd close this short trade in the SPX / S&P 500 and now go long @ 3,167 - placing the SL 15 points below entry, Profittarget 75 points above entry. A potential 5R trade !

... but is it doable in reality ?

The S&P 500 opens in 10 minutes - yesterday evening, a short position should have been opened based on the DMI crossover as we are now exactly at crossover point & close below EMA34. Close yesterday was 3,145 points. If it opens near this mark today, I'd go short with a profit target of 105...

The SL would have been triggered in the DAX Short .

... but is it doable in reality ?

I'm now a bear for the DAX/GER30, often quoted as a the leading index for stocks in my native Germany. Would go short (now at around 12,520 points), place the SL 100 points above entry and the profittarget 200 points below entry.

... but is it doable in reality ?

The shortsetup is not valid anymore, I'd now close this shortposition with a loss slightly below original SL level, Gold right now trades around 1,795 .

... but is it doable in reality ?

Natural Gas looks strong on the long side right now, currently trading @ 1.847 and I think it might run up to 2.10 or even more . I'd go long now and place the stop loss @ 1.77 .

... but is it doable in reality ?

The market in the US has now opened, I'd close the long position in the S&P 500 index, it would have been a 5R winner (S&P now trades at around 3,175 points).

... but is it doable in reality ?

I'm sorry for the typo, the Stop loss level in my Bitcoin short setup posted on 07/03/2020 should not be "around 11,700", but of course "around 10,700" - otherwise it'd be a 2R trade if the profittarget was reached. Bitcoin now trades at around 9,200 .

... but is it doable in reality ?

US$ vs JPY - a clear shortsignal, with a potentially good risk-reward ratio. I'd go short and place the stop loss around 40 pips above the entryprice (closed @ 107.49, trading will resume in a few hours). I see potential for a 160 pips downward move, thus it may be 4R setup. Profittarget would...

... but is it doable in reality ?

This is a chart of Bitcoin, Warren Buffett had a devastating judgement on them, seeing them all eventually dropping to zero. This is how I interpret this chart of Bitcoin, I think it's a bearish setup and I'd go short, placing the SL at around 11,700 . The profittarget would be 3,600 , it'd...

... but is it doable in reality ?

Last setup for this week ... Sterling vs USD & CAD, I think the pound is now ready to move 200 pips higher, I would initiate a long position here (GBPUSD and / or GBPCAD), the SL I'd place 70 pips below entry. GBPUSD currently around 1.2498 .

... but is it doable in reality ?

I see a short setup now in Gold (GOLD on tradingview) - currently trades at around 1,763 . Would go short with an SL 40 points above entry, 120 points below entry profittarget, looks as if the gold price could push through some support right now. As with all trade ideas, would move the stop loss...

... but is it doable in reality ?

... on the afromentioned setup (USDCAD short), I'd choose a higher SL level - 1.3700, profittarget 1.31 .

... but is it doable in reality ?

The US$ vs CAD long scenario is gone - SL would have been triggered, I'm now a bear for pair and would go short, it currently trades at 1.3551 ! 3 setups in a row that did not work out as hoped, but I have to stick to my system. I'd now go short with the SL placed around 70 pips above entry...

... but is it doable in reality ?

I'd raise the profittarget on the long setup in the SPX from 3,125 to 3,200 points.

... but is it doable in reality ?

The short position in the SPX would have resulted in a loss ... but one would have openend a long position today as the market opened above the EMA34 with close proximity, at around 3,050 - SL at 3,025 , profittarget would be at least 3,125 . I'd now move the SL on this long position to breakeven.

How to Tell when a Trend has ended?

This IS the "mother of all questions", we all will never know for sure. My favorite market wizard is, of course, Tom Basso, very generous in sharing infos. He told me & other fans that Keltner channels are his favorite tool to determine a trend, but I'm sure he uses other tools as well. I...

... but is it doable in reality ?

€ vs Yen has not worked out as planned, would close the position @ at a loss, if not already closed. I try to stick to "barclose near EMA34" - very subjective, as I admit. I then basically believe that a trend can occur that will move the underlying 3 x or more of the SL level into the...

... but is it doable in reality ?

The S&P 500 (SPX) closed @ around 3,009 according to tradingview on friday, 06/26/20 . I think this is a valid short setup, as I see downside potential to 2,850 points or even lower.
