    Trader P/L 2008

Steady day. The goose-egg is an attempt at the SPY. Someday I'll learn how to trade the indexes.

    Trader P/L 2008

No patience today. Paid for dearly in opportunity cost.

Around 1700 for the week. Semi-frustrating day today.

    We've Seen The Lows!

Russell 3000 list came out last week and will be finalized on the 27th, fwiw. Thanks for the heads up on the SP though.

    We've Seen The Lows!

Even the best are wrong often. You had the balls to make a call and then publicly honor your stop. Nice job.

    Timmmay LIve in 10 minutes!!!

OK, I watched for about 3 minutes, and I feel as though I've officially hit my Timmay limit for the year. For Christ's sake, he's wearing a gray t-shirt, playing Boiler Room clips, and calling shots on 3 dollar stocks. Who is his target audience? My 15 year old who wants to trade with her...

    Trader P/L 2008

Ok I'm in. I think this may be inspiring in a way. Mon and Tue were basically flat. Up maybe 50 bucks after fees going into Wed. Yesterday was OK +505. Today up 1035 after more shares than normal for the API. (Looks like a damn Xmas tree with all of the red mixed in.) No...

    consistent income

No prob. If I were you I would track down Option Coach's old thread about credit spreads. ( there is a reason he has the name he has) It is truly good stuff, and you will learn a ton from various contributors. I most certainly did. Thanks again OC!!

    consistent income

Yes. And to th OP: There was also a quote from MW's which stated that any option strategy implemented for a long enough period of time will lose money. Their isn't a such thing as a consistent income in options. You need to pay attention to the Greeks and how they fluctuate.

Lesslons learned the "had way" about trading

Expensive options are expensive for a reason. Math doesn't do shit for you in situations like March 17th. (Yes, BSC) Just simply happy to still be in the game.

    Trader commits suicide

Very true. We need to keep things in perspective. I have a friend who has terminal cancer, and bad trading days just don't seem that bad now. But all of his friends have known this for a while now, and it sounds like we'll even have a chance to drink beer with him one one more time...

Determined to get their money back

I truly believe that most people are afraid of success. I believe that our country has a bad case of herd mentality. I agree with your earlier post that hard work has to be executed throughout all areas of your life, it makes sense to do EVERYTHING to 100% of your ability. I often find myself...

Determined to get their money back

"Every person you ask is going to tell you to quit. To give up, because thats what they did, b/c thats what people told them to do etc etc and thats cool, a lot of people in this thread have told you to already." [edit] many will say this, but no one has said this here. "You just made...

Determined to get their money back

#1 No one on this thread told him to quit. #2 You think you are the 1st 20 year old with ambition? Hilarious. #3 You go girl. You keep feeding your habit of fucking over your creditors. But who cares right? You know all and will be a billionaire by the time you're 30. Yet another...

Determined to get their money back

How can you be so devoted to something (your first post) and double your account without working hard at it?

Determined to get their money back

Look, you're 22, and as much of a punk I think you are coming across as, there is a good chance you are more mature than I was when I was your age. I'm 40 and didn't start trading full time until I was 29 (and from there it was on and off until a few years ago), but fell in love with the...

Determined to get their money back

You say you know how to trade, but you don't know the first thing about taking responsibility for your own actions. Bad lending practices? If you do your trading homework as well as you did your borrowing homework, you are not going anywhere as a trader. Quite honestly you sound like a...

What's your favorite trading quote of all time?

"Once you find your niche in trading, you won't need much discipline, because you won't WANT to do anything else" - Brett Steenbarger "I've been abused like a rented gerbil" - Someone on the P/L thread. I think it was Reardon Metal, not sure.

Who else is short oil over the weekend?

After reading my post to you, I have to apologize. I came across as being very disrespectful and that was not my intention. It's just that I've seen so many traders deviate from what works and get into serious trouble. You obviously had thought it through, however, and I did not mean to...
