    NQ vs full size ndx

NQ trades on Globex. ND trades open outcry. Many order entry platforms do not support open outcry markets.

    IB TWS & JRE v 1.4.1_02

I fully agree with corvus. MS is just about to discontinue their "Java efforts" anyway. Any software like J_Trader (based on MS Java VM) will have to do a migration to the MS .NET framework in the near future. Any software based on Sun Java JRE does not need such a migration.

Huh, there was no war with Irak in Nov 2000. Why did oil price move up to 36$ ?

Is my money "safe" with an inexperienced futures broker ?

There is no FDIC protection or anything like that for accounts with a FCM.

    Citrix MetaFrame

No, a VPN is something different. Citrix client allows you to control an application that runs on a remote server. And it is not necessary that server and client run the same OS. www.citrix.com

    TS is NOT Direct Access

FYI: With regard to futures trading you might consider TS Securities Inc just as an introducing broker to Refco / Lind-Waldock (FCM). It is the same type of setup like with any other intoducing broker. The FCM holds your money and executes your trades. P.S. The advantage of Lind-Waldock´s...

    IB-My Limit Buy Order Disappeared

It happened to me once in several years that limit orders (stocks, SMART) simply disappeared. I would be more concerned when it happens with Globex limit orders. They cannot disappear at the exchange unless someone cancels them.

Anyone get IB Positions Liquidated ?

Number of SSF contracts must be adjusted, but SSF exchanges still are not very well organized. Guess that something went wrong between exchange (OneChicago or NQLX) and IB clearing facilities. I also have some SSF in my account, but fortunately not MSFT.

Anyone get IB Positions Liquidated ?

In my IB account they correctly adjusted the number of my MSFT option positions. No liquidations. You´re talking about MSFT SSF, don´t you ? Guess that something went wrong (as usual with this SSF stuff ...).

    ES Limit Orders

Anyway ... "Market orders" are transformed into limit orders and then sent to the exchange as limit orders. The exchange does not accept "market orders".
