Another idea is to move to a NYC suburb, such as Stamford, which houses UBS' trading floor - which, I believe, may be the biggest trading platform in the world. So, I would guess there is excellent telecommunications from Stamford!

I use Dell exclusively and have had good luck. usually though, after 2 years or so, the equipment is outdated and I replace it. The extended super duper warranty isnt a help to me.

I beg to disagree. The fastest, biggest meanest PC, router etc etc is key to trading. No expense is too great for technology. Those who skimp on their equipment or connection are at a clear disadvantage. If the extra one or thousand means alot to you, you're not that serious about trading...
