I need help with TWS screen size

Try: 1. Alt+SpaceBar (press at the same time). 2. Press the letter "M" on your keyboard. 3. Use the arrow keys on your keyboard to move the window. Note: This only works if the window is not maximized.

    Computer Insurance

Physical protection might be cheaper than buying insurance (especially after the 3rd or 4th claim).

    Printable Charts...

I don't use any special software to do this. I just hit the printscreen key on my keyboard and then paste the image (one big, combined image from multiple monitors) into one of my imaging programs. Maybe it has something to do with the ATI video drivers.

    Supplemental Income

Has anyone here every found a source of supplemental income while they learned how to trade? For example, selling on ebay or some other internet related business - even a low-risk way of selling puts/calls for the income. If so, please PM me. I personally believe any amount of income not...

I've often wondered that myself. Can anyone offer an explanation?

Very interesting. Can anyone back this up?

    Run don't walk

Good catch. Some of these web companies are really sneaky.

    Run don't walk

I thought they were closer to $800, which would make a 191T less expensive if you shop around.

    Run don't walk

I'd be careful of companies like this. For instance, a search on computerhq.com for 191T returns 4 results: Samsung LCD 19" 191T-Black $679 Samsung LCD 19" 191T-Silver $695 Samsung 191T-BLACK 19" LCD MONITOR BLACK $780 Samsung 191T-Silver 19in. LCD Monitor $780 Strange that they would...

    Dual monitors

Still need to be careful. I've heard (but not experienced) that some cards will not be able to use the converters. I think the reason given was they used DVI-D instead of DVI only. This may be an outdated issue and I doubt that it makes much sense, but it gives a good starting point for research.

    Dual monitors

I'm using Windows for multiple monitors right now. You can also use specialized software. UltraMon from http://www.realtimesoft.com is one example. Most LCDs use DVI to connect, so if your "regular Dell 17" is a CRT, you may want to do some research on the web before you buy another video...

    Upgrading Win ME to XP

The upgrade version will do a clean install if you format your HD and have an older Windows product to prove you are eligible for the upgrade. Warning: You will lose all data when you format (so make sure you have it backed up somewhere before you begin). Search ET, MS and the web for more...

    Upgrading Win ME to XP

Another option - keep WinME and buy another HDD for less than $100 and install a very clean copy of WinXP on it (i.e. only XP, a different browser and the bare essential trading programs - that's it). Trade from XP during the day and then boot over to ME after hours for all other computing stuff...

    Hard drive overworked

Jayford...I hope the defragging works. However, since there is a chance it could be dying, make a backup of your important files or your entire hard drive immediately (if you haven't already done this). It could die tomorrow, or ten years from now...you never know. Norton Ghost is one...

    Router or Firewall Program?

BobbyMurcerFan...what model Linksys did you get? The Linksys BEFSX41 is less than $100 and includes a "Stateful Packet Inspection firewall." Is a $300 model that much better or are you just paying for the name? No offense intended...just asking and trying to learn.

    Is cable really less secure...

Whamo, that's an excellent point. Most private transactions take place using SSL (https). I think that this means anything sent between your computer and the server you are connected to is encrypted using RC4 128-bit. Even if the information is intercepted by packetsniffers, it can't be read...
