    The big volume in Treasuries begans at 0820 eastern when the Pit opens. It is very tradeable starting about 3 hours earlier but the volume begins at 0820.

    US exchange traded futures are 1256 but if you traded on Eurex or other foreign exchanges as Lobster asked about, they may not be 1256 contracts. I don't trade these so I don't know the answer for reporting foreign contracts.

    wrong. They do not want to see totals for each future traded. They only want the total profit or loss (ONE FIGURE) for all 1256 contracts. Your 1099 from your broker gives you this number.
